I can't even imagine how expensive their medical bills are. Surgery for 2 girls every 6 months and physical therapy every day? Not to mention the cost of the original separation surgery.

"There going to cut us apart."  How did that not horrify those kids?  I would freak knowing I had to just see the dentist, not even having anything done at that age!  Hats off to these parents who have somehow instilled a happy life to these girls.  May they forever keep the smiles, and be each others strength.

Ok people the 1 kidney would have failed they would have died and they would ALWAYS compromise. Sure they do PT buts that's part of their routine. And if they weren't separated they still would have needed surgeries to help them live like a kidney transplant. And the arches in their backs was making it hard to breathe. Their happy now. They can be physical individuals like they are mentally. So Yes conjoined twins should be separated, if medically possible. Yes conjoined twins should be given the chance to have their own individual life experiences by being separated if it is medically possible to do so without harming either twin. Improvements in medical technology and surgical procedures have drastically improved the odds of successfully separating conjoined twins and allowing them a fruitful life experience. The girls only do PT before school. It's like their exercise. They can crawl around and have walkers (and prosthetic). If you read the girls blogs you would understand better.

There are three girls at my school who were born as triplets. Two of them were born conjoined and are missing a leg, so they use crutches to get around. Despite their physical disadvantage, they are still completely normal girls and are some of the nicest people I've ever met. No one is rude to them, they participate in Phys Ed, and they can even do push-ups like pros. I am so thankful for modern science, these girls are so amazing!
