I'm experiencing the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon about the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon

GTA is pretty much the manifestation of this phenomenon. You are searching hours for one specific car in the game and as soon as you get your hands on it the game generates it over and over again...

Crepuscular is such a weirdly satisfying word to say.

Determinism is NOT the idea that everything happens for a reason. That's predeterminism. Determinism is simply that everything that happens has been caused rather than willed freely.

This is absolutely mind-blowing because THIS MORNING I was thinking about this phenomenon (that I didn't know the name of) and wondering if I was the only one to experience it, and now I'm stumbling upon this video. I got Baader-Meinhofed about the Baader-Meinhof effect. I'm truly bewildered.

No lie, earlier today I was watching an interview with Jack Gleeson. In it he said his favorite word was crepuscular (a word I had not heard till then.) Now I find this video. eerie...

What a fine video to watch in the crepuscular hours of the late afternoon.

This is a lie! It happens because we are on a TV show and the word/pattern is the theme of an episode! Wake up sheeple!

I literally just heard crepuscular on Archer, and an article on the guardian,

Here's an actual coincidence: It was the word crepuscular that first made me aware of the frequency effect (though I didn't know its name at the time). That was before this video.

Less than a minute after finishing this video -- and before having navigated away -- my phone beeped with a notification for Dictionary's Word of The Day;
It was "Vociferus". For a moment, though. I was worried it was going to be "Crepuscular".

While it is true that our brains are wired to seek out patterns, and so will be more easily drawn to patterns which are pointed out to us, it is equally true that every single moment happens based on a series of interconnected moments that came before. Waves of patterns intersecting with our moment of recognition. Only a tiny few of these patterns will ever be consciously noted by us and most will be wrongly attributed to earlier instances. There is cause to every effect, we simply do not have the capacity to understand the whole. I believe, however, that we intrinsically understand that there are patterns so seek out or create strings of causation in our minds to make us feel better about our place with in a much to large universe to ever truly comprehend. I believe it is also why we invent deities and cosmologies to try to make sense of it. To relieve ourselves of our inherent insignificance within the patterns.

Each of your videos is like an original, perfect Quora answer, to a question that needed answering before being asked. Whatever that line means :)
I don't usually (or ever) post comments, but what you do is absolutely inspiring and captivating, keep it up!

While doing a purge of my subscriptions last week I watched your understanding art house video because I couldn't remember when/why I subscribed and enjoyed it enough not to unsubscribe! Really like what you're doing and definitely would be into a series on that. (Enjoyed this video too and had no idea this phenomenon was actually a thing.)
