Everyones talking about the New Rlaarlo AK-787, but this is the New Rlaarlo AM-D12, a 1/12 Scale Brushless Off Road RC Car (Buggy). It's very good, and a very good price, however... is it Too Fast?

One of my favorite RLAARLO's to date. It is very fast and well built out of the box and shares alot of parts with the AMX-12. The front input gear tends to come loose on this model though

I’d rather rc car companies be honest about their claimed “out of the Box” speed than them making them too uncontrollably fast. Rlaarlo has been very accurate lately, and I do commend them for it!

I bought this and ran it at the beach. It's absolutely nuts and has a lot of power for its size. 100% get it if you like the smaller-scale trucks.

Thats pretty impressive, didnt think it would be so stable or quick looking at it

This buggy is worth every penny. It’s a great little rig and it absolutely scoots!! I love mine.

Yeah love this buggy, had the yellow one for about a month or so. I removed the spare wheel as I didnt want it constantly doing wheelies every time you excellerated. I fitted a rear wing instead from a WLtoys 124016 & a wheelie bar from the MJX 16208 MT.

I would like to see more options to make them slower for younger drivers. Could I take a decent quality 1/16th truck and make it super slow with a tiny pinion gear?

Great video as always!
I've had the desert buggy for a few weeks, and yes it's great, but it kills the rear diff quickly.
Mine self destructed after 10 runs on 2s and then nearly one run on 3s.
My brother bought one and exactly the same thing happened.
The diff housings are weak plastic and can't handle the power they have to deal with.
The four crown wheel screws wriggle loose, rip the threaded holes in the diff housing out, and then trepan their way out through the side of the gearbox casing.
It would be worth stripping the diff from new and putting longer screws in the crown wheel to diff casing with loctite from new.
Also, wheel nuts constantly come undone, so, more loctite.
Infact, loctite everything!
The diff issue is a shame because otherwise it's well engineered.
Seems strange that rlaarlo would put such a weak link in the drive train. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Massive oversight if you ask me, gonna end up with alot of unhappy customers.
Just my 2 pence, thanks.

I used to have a Losi LXT when I was a kid in the 90's. It had a very similar suspension. The swing arms would never break. The pins would come out if you wrecked it, or the camber links would come off of the ball joint. It was always such an easy fix.

Love that you put them to an anonymous test, given their history lately, and that they passed! Another great video, chap! 😂

Totally agree this buggy is crazy (fun) fast out of the box. Been having a blast with mine. But it’s also a crazy wheelie machine. 👍🏻

This thing really flies. I think parents should read the instructions so they can turn down the throttle. It did a lot of things extremely well. For some reason the old Spaceballs movie popped Into my head where they went into "ludicrous speed." It's a very cool little buggy. As you said you were lucky with he wheel coming off without damage.

The remote strikes me as a cross between the older X6 transmitter and the newer more compact X6PM-350 which doesn't have the bulky stand on the bottom. If this is made by DumboRC indeed that probably would explain the good range, no?
