The DNA of the bones of the Indus people were done recently. They are closer in relation to Dravidans.

Lectures like these are not normally in my realm of interest, but I was intrigued when this appeared in my sidebar. Fascinating. Thank you for sharing.

I know what they say.
1) Fragile. Handle with care.
2) C.O.D.
3) This side up.
4) Dangerous goods.
5) Return to sender.

Sir, with due respect and admiration, you have to go back quite far: 9, 000 years ago ...That is the True Civilization of that Era and Area: Mehrgarh ...There appears to be an error of time and place. The River Indus is Sindhu that is Sindh that in the old language only means ''a River''...
How one defines India? The Indian Continental Plate? Or Bharata ...that in not an indigenous word of the place ... It came from the North West: Ariana ...Sanskrit is not an Indigenous Indian Language ...Dravidian Languages are. They have no similarities with Sanskrit, Prakrit or Pali. Dravidian / Untouchables / Shuddhar are original Indians ...most of the rest came with the waves of invasions from the North and Northwest ...Indo European should be rephrased Arya-Euro ...Even the word India is a recent term for the Sub Continent ...
I am an Indian, only since 1026 AD ...The present view of Kailash people as the remnant of Alexander, the Great is erroneous. These people have lived there for at least couple of thousand years before ...

I do not agree 100% with what he says, but I agree 150% with his love for culture and our history as man. For that reason alone, this vid gets a thumbs-up.

What he said is correct, but he forgot that it's a seal. In seal if we write from right to left. When we stamp it it become left to right. So the ppl of Indus Valley writes from left to right. Make a note bro.

The Rongo Rongo stone script matches almost perfectly, and the people of Easter Island say they can read it. Mayhaps he should ask them.

The presenter hints at the use of 'Computer Models' in this talk from 2011. This was just before the latest rise in the use of AI. It would be interesting the know if AI/deep learning can be -or has been- applied to this particular problem.

Excellent Ted talk! This is so interesting and this guy is one of the few Indian people who I saw talk about this who isn't biased (except the Dravidian part, which he also admit was a possibly), but actually searching for an answer using a proper method rather than creating his own theory and supporting it with whatever he can find. High quality material and presentations such as this one on the Indus civilization and especially the Indus script is rare. Where can I find more of his talks?
