Don't won't to upset the triumph owners but these are probably a better all round bike than a bonneville . May not have the top end speed but engines are excellent and the handling is sweeter . Also cheaper.

Someone help me out here. My first bike in 1972 was a BSA Lightning 650 (1969 model to my best recollection).
But as I recall it did not have a finned valve cover. Was there more than one version of the 69 Lightning?

What's a more reliable 60's era british bike to buy... a Triumph or a BSA? I can't decide what kind to get it, either a 65 or 66 Bonnie or one of these BSA's. Both look great.
