The G-Technology G-DRIVE portable hard drive offers a USB Type-C port for fast on-the-go storage.

G-Technology, G-DRIVE portable hard drive is indeed the best USB-C drive for speed and performance. Offering a sleek design, and Time Machine compatibility without any problem. Inside its amazing thin, beveled-aluminum case there is a high-performance 7200 rpm hard drive with a massive capacity for storing your video, photo, and all your everyday files.

It is easy to set up and bus-powered, with no need to carry an external AC power supply. Just grab it, and you are ready to go.

You know the all new MacBooks that only has a single USB-C port for all their connection? G-Technology G-Drive Mobile USB-C drive was solely made for computers like that.

Thankfully, G-Tech was good enough to pack it with both USB cables needed: one for USB-C and one for USB-C-to-USB-A cable that can let you use the drive with any computer even a non-USB-C computer.

Hey, nice video.
I have a question, this a USB-C drive that is capable of Thunderbolt 3 speeds (via usb-c) however, the usb-c to usb-c cable that comes with it is NOT thunderbolt 3 capable. Have to tried to do speed test with a thunderbolt (usb-c to usb-c) capable cable? If yes, what was the speed difference with the thunderbolt (usb-c to usb-c) compare to that one that comes with the drive.

Thanks!

I wonder where you got the 7200 rpm disk speed. G-Technology site mentions a speed of 5400 rpm.

This thing is super fast and super sleek, i am a film major at school and this is large enough to transport files i need from home to school easily, its so small and portable too, it fits like a wallet, Dont keep your cord plugged into it though as that will mess the port up over time for any hard drive.

$75, at the time of this comment, is a TERRIBLE price for a 1TB External HDD. Just because you "could" edit 4K video on this doesn't mean you should. Seagate, and most competitors, sells 2TB External HDD's for $10 less on Amazon, and 4TB External HDD's for $20 more. All of which are the same speed. If you are in the market for read/write speed, buy an External SSD. This video comes across as a paid-promo.
