PICADILLO is a dish that is well known in Mexico and here in the Philippines we have our own version as well. It is made of ground beef, potatoes, bell pepper, carrots, green peas, tomatoes and other ingredients. It is mostly similar to Pork giniling, the only difference is the meat they use. It is perfect paired with pandesal, filling for tacos or partner it with a freshly steamed rice.

Ingredients:
5 cloves garlic
1 medium-sized onion
500g ground beef
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
30g oyster sauce
2 medium-sized tomatoes
2 tbsp soy sauce
100g or small sized red bell pepper
30g raisins
50g green peas
100g or 1 medium-sized potato
100g or 1 medium-sized carrot
1/4 cup of water

Beautifully done. So much nutrition, flavor and color. I like adding olives to mine. A complete meal in one pan.

Really delicious! Since I have all the ingredients, I cooked this recipe yesterday less the raisins and added 3 bayleaves. It was a hit! I doubled the recipe and adjusted the condiments according to my taste. Next time I’ll use lean ground pork. Great job! Thanks for sharing.
