Is the 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio a better SUV than a BMW X3 M?

We were Stelvio shopping Friday and decided to stick with our Giulia for a while longer. They are outstanding SUVs to me despite the horrendous backup camera and screen, so fun to drive and they stick out in a crowd of boring styling that's out there. Awesome review Team Raiti!

I've had my Stelvio Quad since this past Spring and I absolutely love this honey badger of a car. I traded in my 2018 Macan GTS for it, and actually looked at an X3 M Comp as well having previously owned a 2015 BMW M4, but the X3M had all the grunt and tech that was better, but was emotionally sterile compared to the Quad, I mean its not even close as far as giggle factor.

You hit the nail on the head with your description of personality & ferocity . Also, it's very cool to drive something that you just don't see on the road, it's like a UFO sighting when you see another one, and just like when I see other Porsche owners, we give the wave lol !

Hate to admit it, but I think my Stelvio Quad would gap my 981 GT4 from a dig to at least 80 mph.

I’ve driven and tested the Giulia Quadrifoglio and it’s an amazing engine and the best sounding v6 ever in my opinion. Putting that engine into an suv package will make it sell to a larger amount of new buyers of Alfa.

I find it ironic that you mention the headlight housings and how they should be refreshed when Alfa Romeo has announced that the Giulia and Stelvio are getting the Tonale treatment with the headlights. I'm also in love with the Stelvio Quad.

Love my Stelvio! So Fun to Drive I can't wait get back into it. Arm rest is actually nicely large, and the leather is high grade and tough enough to resist dog nail scratches. Love the sound every time it starts. You nailed it, the drive is unitque and extraordinaryly good. The 2023 has a nice head lamp revision. Great Fun Review! TY

Absolutely one one of the best looking and driving cars you've tested lately on your channel. I'll be more then glad to deal with a few Dodge parts bin parts in order to keep costs down and make this car a viable option for Stellantis to produce. I'd have this car over a BMW any day.

We recently got my wife a new 22 Giulia Veloce and I have fallen in love with it. It is so fun to drive and doesn't drive like a 4dr so I can only imagine how good a QV would be. As far as a Stelvio I think they look great especially in that blue with the blackout package. I've always wanted a Macan S but now I'm thinking a Stelvio QV might be what I want. So happy that you got to review one and great job as always.

My goodness that thing is art on wheels. Its just so **** beautiful look at. I know they don't have all the features or tech as the Benz/BMWs but they drive like F1 cars, have butter soft Italian leather, and look like a supermodel. To a car enthusiast, what else matters?

Love the exhaust notes but the interior tech is a killer for me. It's easier to get the X4M a deeper note then it would be for a Quad HUD/New info screen. Both are fun to drive but the X4M Comp (or X3M comp) our drags and out techs this. Perhaps AR steps it up soon...we will see.

Great video! We are looking at getting the Stelvio to replace our bulletproof (only replaced the oil and tires - ever) family hauler MDX of 10 years - it's just getting pretty old. I have a BMW 4 M coupe so having the Stelvio in my garage too will be the best of both worlds. My car philosophy is haul family but be able to haul A$! too (when the kids aren't in the car of course) lol. Thanks for your videos!

I was in love with my Giulia and Alfa Romeo as a brand, however, I will never again buy/recommend another Alfa Romeo in my life. I had the brake by wire system fail on me and it caused me to crash and total the car. They sent someone from Bosch to diagnose the vehicle and in the charts it clearly showed that something malfunctioned (brakes were slammed 2 seconds before the impact at 40 MPH and it took more than 1.5 seconds for the speed to start going down.) Stellantis told me that they were not going to take responsibility for it and that I needed to have my insurance pay for the vehicle. Absolute garbage. I will never recommend this car brand to anyone again! Buy an AUDI, BMW or Mercedes
