Japan is an amazing country for tourists, not for residents.... unless you're living in the country side, it's quite fun there.

it's a society where we learn first thing that if you're not doing like everyone, or if you're different...etc. you're gonna be in trouble. "Deru kugi wa utareru " - The nail that sticks up the farthest takes the most pounding., so people, who are in fact all different inside, with different repressed desires, are not taught how to make their own choices in life. there's a moment where they can't handle living "everyone's proper life" but since they've never been allowed to make their own choices and feel confident in being different, they only see death as the other options, even though the world is like a millions doors waiting to be opened. this is not a problem of the corporate world only, the corporate world is a symptom of a much deeper problem within the subconscious cultural background of the population. it's something that has to be taught to children. But it's difficult to teach it, when you, as an adult, haven't been taught how to handle your own choice making and to listen to your "soul's desires". it will certainly change little by little with social media and global culture coming in contact with japanese culture.

I don't like japanese "adult movies": Important body parties are censored, girls are bushy and they whine terribly.

I lived in Japan for 6 years. While there it occurred to me that schools segregate the boys and girls from each other until their teenage years. Has anyone considered that this isolation early in life has contributed to a social handicap between adult men and women?

When you raise the bar for marriage, looking for a rich, beautiful, successful, funny, loveable husband or wife, you realize that you are 40 and still single and too good for everyone so you die alone in a home care.
Society is becoming very unrealistic.

That is why most main characters in anime/manga are still in high school because that is the final freedom in there life.
