Is it possible that there are ancient civilizations wiped out in a colossal natural disaster leaving zero evidence, thus leaving us the notion of a smooth linear development from hunter-gatherer to our advanced complex society? This notion is now regarded as scientists, researchers and archaeologists have unearthed a mountain of evidence of ancient cultures that thrived in the distant past. Now, not only do we have evidence we may be facing multiple extinction scenarios. Let us journey back in time step by step through a barrage of lost cultures in a quest for the 10,000 BC civilization that vanished in the mists of time.

The problem with the "accepted" age of civilization is that for the past few centuries, historians and archaeologists have been almost exclusively religious. and so they tried to fit the age of ruins with their preconceived ideology of the age of the earth. In many cases even outright destroying or covering up findings that went against that ideology.

One of the most missed parts that a few archaeologists have mentioned is that we aren't looking at the right places. where did all our civilizations start? at the water, by the sea etc. The water levels are 400 feet higher than 12, 000 years ago. Look at our world and suddenly raise the oceans up 400 feet, what % of our civilization vanish? Apparently the number of archaeologists that are dive certified are few, very few. Look at maps from 12, 000 years ago and compare, you won't recognize the UK, england was part of Europe.

Thank you so much for your HD videos! So educational and I love the inquiries posited rather than making guesses at leaps and bounds in logic. It's clear there's a lot we do not and cannot yet know.

All ancient sites share one important feature: the older the fragment of the site, the larger and more precisely cut stones.

There are volumes of evidence of a great flood, it's hardly a "myth".

Asteroid hit Greenland ice sheet. A crater has been found under the ice sheet. Hit at the end of the last Ice Age; creating a mini-ice age of approximately 1200 years. Starting at 11, 000 BC. Additional asteroids hit the Indian Ocean; leaving a 250 km creator on the ocean floor. This would have created a 3 mile high tsunami wave; the great flood. A smaller asteroid hit the Caspian Sea. Their is a 34 meter of ocean sand covering southern Africa. Their would have been a tsunami wave to hit the middle east covering ancient sites with sand, clay, silts, and small rock; burring these sites, to this day.

The idea that ancient 'henges' would be decommissioned due to the procession of the equinoxes had never occurred to me before! That snaps so many 'mysteries' into a solid theoretical framework for me.

Is it possible that there are remnants all over the earth from the last catastrophe which about 12, 100 years ago? More over, is it possible that, that catastrophe was just the LAST major one that hits the earth about every 12, 100 years since time began?

If mankind were to vanish from the earth today, nature would erase every trace of our current existence in just 1, 000 years. If you accept the Flood of Noah, or the Epic of Gilgamesh, we've reached our State-of-the-Art technology in roughly 5, 000 years.
Looking at the "Sumerian King List", Ancient Sumer existed more than 440, 000 before the flood. That would allow 88 periods of 5, 000 years when civilizations could have reached our level, or beyond, and the evidence erased by nature since then. In fact, they could have had periods of 10, 000 years or more before some natural disaster made mankind start over, and their technology could have greatly surpassed our own.
Looking at "Burckle Crater", a world-wide flood is highly likely about 5, 000 years ago.

I wonder if an ancient cataclysm happened and the temples were filled in during this (like maybe a giant asteroid hitting the earth, so big that the impact spun the earth the other way)
