"Sometimes it's good to do what you're supposed to do, when you're supposed to do it." The trouble is, Frances isn't really doing anything. When her best friend Sophie moves out of their apartment, Frances finds herself completely lost, floating from place to place, making a lasting impression on everyone she meets. From director Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale, Greenberg), comes this joyous rites of passage journey of one hapless New Yorker, cast adrift on a voyage of friendship, dating, dead-end jobs and dancing!

Loved this scene! She's so lost throughout the movie but when she talks about what she wants from a relationship, she's clear and sure and doesn't stumble.

I love this scene! At the end of the film, you realize that she has that relationship with Sophie (her best friend). Sometimes platonic love- friendship love is the best kind of love! Friends can be soulmates too!

this is an amazing show of how love its supossed to be, people should understand that love is not just wanting to kiss or have sex with someone, its deeper than this, its about understand and know that this person its yours, so fuck it, love exists even with friends and could be as hard too, as i said love could be showed in many ways. (sorry if i had words mistakes)

I want this one moment.
It’s what I want in a relationship, which might explain why I’m single now.
It’s kind of hard to-
It’s that thing when you’re with someone and you love them and they know it, and they love you and you know it-
But it’s a party!
And you’re both talking to other people, and you’re laughing and shining, and you look across the room and catch each other’s eyes.
But not because you’re possessive or it’s precisely sexual,
but because that is your person in this life.
And it’s funny and sad but only because this life will end.
And it’s this secret world that exists right there, in public, unnoticed that no one knows about.
It’s sort of like how they say that other dimensions exist all around us but we don’t have the ability to perceive them?
That’s what I want out of a relationship or just life, I guess.
