The Entertainer on a real Harpsichord, the 17th century piano. Played in a baroque/classical version. If Scott Joplin had been born in the time of Bach or Mozart, he would have written The Entertainer in this way. Like 17th - 18th century. Hope you Enjoy this beautiful pice on the french harpsichord.

This could be called "The Struggling Entertainer" because he's baroque

Genuinely sad J.S. Bach didn't live to see jazz music's rise - would have been right up his alley as he was, apparently, a tremendous improviser.

People in 3021 will believe this is Mozart.

For the first time, those keys know what it's like to be stared at instead of us

The Entertainer always brings back awesome memories from my childhood when my uncle was playing it for me every time he was visiting us. He even recorded a tape for me so I could play it all year long. And now the Harpsichord version is my favorite one. Thank you for recording it and sharing it with us!

That sounds really good on that harpsichord. Sometimes its reminiscent of a honky tonk piano, but just a bit different. Now I want to hear The Entertainer on a calliope.

This is great, very well arranged-it kind of sounds a little bit like a calliope style organ that would have played ragtime music back in the day

Love the slight variations you've added! Think everybody should put there own slight variations into ragtime! One of the best renditions I've found on Youtube - really enjoyed this!!

My family was sick of hearing me play it as a youth, but it's the only song I can still play to this day.

I feel like I am on a carousel. Strange how the harpsichord sounds like a calliope organ with this piece.

Wonderful variations especially on the flourishes! Having learned a couple of Joplin pieces myself, I recognize the look of syncopation concentration 😄

Lot of people said this piece is difficult to play. I've just clicked on the central area of the video and worked well.
