A small interesting note: the 1st Swordfish attack were armed with a new type of torpedo with magnetic detonator. When they hit the Sheffield, the crews realized that the new weapon was faulty and switched to an older type with contact detonators. If the first attack actually found the Bismarck with the faulty torpedoes there might not have been enough time to rearm for a 2nd.
