I'm not trying to be cliche, but there is something about this girl. Her music isn't just the normal type of music where you hear the words but listen more to the beat. No. She somehow FORCES you to listen to the lyrics, to feel what we all feel. What it's like to be human. She makes my heart slow and makes me stop what I'm doing. Makes me finally cry after years of having to hold back tears. And I cry so hard that my eyes hurt. I hate this cruel world that we live in. The one where everyone has an opinion, where we have to fit in to be "cool". And the one where I'm going to get hate comments about how embarrassingly sentimental I'm being. But I don't care, and I think that we should all stop caring.

Dear Billie, don't listen to people who say that drugs are going to help you become happier. You have a lot. At a certain point you no longer know what to do, so that will sometimes make you sad. You have a lot of fans behind you! Don't get under pressure too much. We love you!

For those who don’t understand the song:
She had a dream in which she got everything she wanted aka suicide. For mentally stable, relatively happy, optimistic individuals, they will never understand the flirtation of suicide. In her dream, when she stepped off the Golden Gate Bridge nobody cared or even noticed and she got everything she wanted. When she woke up to find her brother there telling her that she’ll always be safe with him and if she could only see herself the way he sees her, she would realize her worth and significance and her flirtation with suicide would end. At the end, when she mentions that she doesn’t want to let people down, it’s about coming out of that “relationship with death” in order not to hurt the people who care about her and would thus be devastated by her suicide, such as her brother. That is why in her dream, “everything she wanted” was achieving the suicide without anybody caring/noticing. It’s gut-wrenching and haunting but oh so real and relatable. I don’t know about you but I’ve never seen or heard any other artist that can capture something as gravitational as this in such a stunningly beautiful way. True respect for a true artist. Billie is my all-time favorite.
