Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Force, the Bolivarian National Militia and the civilian population held a military training session at the Bolivarian National Guard School in Los Teques, Miranda, on Monday.

Footage shows the soldiers performing exercises and civilians forming barriers.

The training is part of the orange alert called by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in early September and take place amid an escalation of tension between Colombia and Venezuela, and after the Organization of American States (OAS) approved the activation of the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance (TIAR), which contemplates the possibility of carrying out an attack in Venezuela.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza said during a press conference at the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) in Geneva last week that they will not accept any interference from any country or the OAS, and warned that they will defend themselves with the Bolivarian National Armed Force, the militia that has more than three million members and with all Venezuelans.

Venezuelan military and militia need to settle their chest down. They won't be intimidating, or bullying anyone anymore. They won't be telling the US how it's going to be, nor Canada, nor Brazil and definitely not Guyana. Hands off the Essequibo, it belongs to Guyana!!!
