A few mistakes, you don't yell out to each other when the enemy is around, and if you have no weapons, you take the enemy's weapons after killing them. Some blood after being shot would be good also, but it's a pretty good first attempt...

The young people that made this film have come a long way from their humble beginnings. IIRC *their first effort was a school project with no budget no professional actors.* Something like 100 volunteers contributed services of every possible type and description. My own major gripes were with the props (I believe a UZI SMG and M16 were used) and non regulation haircuts were the norm.

In this most recent effort *I saw GI haircuts. I saw an M1 Garand MG42 and C96 machine pistol as I would expect to in the ETO. While I am no expert of uniforms in WWII Europe they looked surprisingly accurate. My only real complaint was every uniform I saw was in perfect condition and clean.*

I too was a Reenactor in my 30s and 40s circa the American Fur Trade Era and a bit of the Civil War. I also was a collector of WWII gear from the time I was about 8 years old.

The Vogel brothers and Hans Zimmer should definitely pursue their dreams in the cinema.
Beats working in a coal mine or mindless factory.

*Good effort. Keep at it.*

I skipped through but aside from the Browning 1919 being made of wood it was pretty good.

So enjoyed this film, I like how one actor played several parts. The feelings and raw emotion were delivered well. Love to see more.

Low budget and amateur production. EXCELLENT work for what you had! Would love to see what you can do with full budget and support! The storyline was very good and I loved how you ended with a look from the Sergeant as they marched to Bastogne. I really have to wonder how many people caught the significance of that as it is more commonly known by another name. You left yourself wide open for a sequel.

The Sarge has a scar on his face just like my GI Joe, Man of Action did.
I mean the real 12" GI Joe not the midget 3 1/2" Joes.

I really liked it, I thought with a low budget you had a lot of good props and uniforms. I didn't watch it expecting to see a multimillion dollar film. But I think you did a great piece here. I have seen higher budget B films not as well as this. Keep up learning and practicing..you have potential.

band of brothers copy some places, which is alright, but it jumps in the eye.. better try your own camera angles, boot-lick never does any good.. that being said, splendid amateur work for sure :)

A GOOD PIECE OF FILM WORK ... Some of the critics have no idea " how difficult " it is to make a feature film with little or no-budget.
I give credit to all the actors and actresses who have taken part, who I guess hope that this leads further into their careers. I thought the camera work was good.
It's often too easy to be a critic ... but please remember that a film should be about the " enjoyment " and taking-part in the journey with the actors and actresses.
I enjoyed watching this and thank you for sharing. IDP-FIlm.com

@22.25, every time I have been in Holland or Germany and asked a local if they speak English, they say, 'a little bit' and then go on to have a full conversation with me, understanding everything I say.

Congrats on your production/creation. The complexities are numerous in undertaking such an endeavor. You DID IT! Not just talked or dreamed about it. Making something from nothing, but hard work and with respect to what you have access to is a challenge in itself. We, the viewers, did not know this. Take the comments /criticisms as a LEARNING TOOL to improve on. Keep learning the: How To 's, practice, adjust your aim.

Great effort! One thing when you make the next one is to make the troops look grimy. Not just dirty, but remember, those guys lived all the time in their uniforms, so they would be dirty beyond dirty! And don't shave for a couple of days cause guys on the run don't take time to shave. That is all!

Hey man, just a quick question. I'm working on my very own WWII movie, and was wondering where you got the costumes. They look so good! I am having a very hard time finding some for cheap. If you could tell that would be awesome, thanks

I thought it was decent. It's obviously not Hollywood quality, and people need to realize that. Besides, even Hollywood movies can be LOADED with historical inaccuracies.

All concerned did a nice job, the sets were fine, the voices of kids playing is odd. The acting is fine given their lack of experience. If they stick with it they’ll be fine.

I'm a WWII aficianado, but I stumbled upon this by accident. I was really impressed. Obviously a low budget film, but really very good. Great job, Prosaic Pictures. Look forward to your future work!
