Some of us act like we are angels, without spot and seek any opportunity to cast stones at the lives of others, and in this case at a national leader who has just departed.
It is very shameful to read some of the comments, when the nation is in grief.
We always look for negative things to say about people and conveniently evade the good things that they did in their lifetime.
During the 80's and 90's when the whole region was collapsing in civil war, Kenya remained stable, and was actually a safe haven for refugees fleeing conflict.
Even though Kenya has grown economically since President Moi left office, who has really gained from that growth? We all know that the richer have grown richer, and the poor have become poorer.
At least during President Moi's Reign, life was much more bearable for the poor. The cost of living was much more affordable than it is right now.
It is a well known fact that a huge percentage of national income goes towards payment of salaries for the elite, where politicians shamelessly award themselves salary increaments after every few years, which rarely happened during Moi's regime.
No one is perfect, but let us learn to see the good in others, and seek humility, because as we all know, we shall all die one day.
God is the only one who is able to see someone's heart, and the only one who has authority to judge.

So hope finally we ALL know that NO ONE removed Moi from power. He announced his retirement himself severally as we have witnessed here and when the time for handing power came, he did it voluntarily despite his preffered candidate Uhuru loosing.

Kenyatta slogan was Harambee. Moi slogan was Peace, Love and Unity. Kibaki slogan was Yote Yawezekana. What is Uhuru's slogan??? Tuko Pamoja!? No we are not together. I think Uhuru's slogan in silence said it all "Danganya Toto Jinga". And he succeeded in taking us for a ride to survive 2nd term. But will he succeed in his treachery using Raila to sell BBI in the name of uniting Kenyans or he use Raila's to create for him status quo that will see him playing with constitution Like Russian President Dictator Putin that after seeing his term as imperial prime minister he changed constitution to shift power to presidential and then shift with the power using iron fist and silence the critics for good by assasination!!! That is Uhuru's plan. He should not deceive you that he doesn't want any slot, he want with all his hearts and if he got. Kenya will be heading Zimbabwe/Zaire's way under their fallen dictators.
