I think father is older then he realizes. They kept repeating that he's the strongest service bot ever built. He took a full blast from the necro snake, and got up like it was nothing. Same scream broke Vrilles spine. I think father was grandmother's original partner, they battled over grandmother's choice to devolve humans, and father fled Kepler for Earth with Campion's ancestor

Theroy: I think Grandmother altered Tempest's baby when she initially scanned her stomach, which explains why the baby was not burned by the acid water when taken by the mermaid. Campion may have also been altered when he initially touched Grandmother.

My guess: Those who eat fruit from Sue/tree will be immune to devolving. That's Entities strategy to keep some humans under his influence.

The footage of the violent transformation into a tree was wild and disturbing. I’m glad it didn’t let us see that happen to Sue/Mary.

GM mentioned she’s never experienced humans or children without her veil. Is it possible she develops a conscious and realises her initial equation has a fatal flaw?

I think it’s interesting that when Mother is locked in the simulation she screams “let me out, let me out.” Which is opposite of the 3 Little Pigs story where the wolf says “let me in, let me in.”

Just to add, I think the tree that popped out of the serpent after being killed was in fact the same tree. I guess you could say when the snake ate the tree it fused, then when mother killed the snake, the tree then ejected itself from the dead host.

⸸his episode was mind blowing. I think Marcus is going to be more android like next season and perhaps relate more to the androids than he has in the past.

Either way the humans are screwed. The duality is essential. Sol is an evil entity that feeds off of the intelligence of humans to free itself. While an entirely different entity wants them to devolve to keep Sol quiet.

I’m not even gonna lie, the scene with mother and number 7 flying in the air was so beautiful. Everything looked perfect in my opinion. What’s your favorite visual scene is this show?

Fun fact. When GM was explaining about the video game, she said the line "It is from my time" That line was edited for the e08 trailer for the last sentence line that was "It is my time". Fine forshadowing

Vril dies and starts releasing loads of radiation, knowing this the dead snake is likely doing the same thing possibly dark photon radiation? Markus gets strung up his blood mixes with snake blood and the helmet focuses the dark photons into his brain, he becomes a snake blooded human necromancer.

I feel very sad for what happened to number 7. I think it was way more misunderstood than we ever thought!

Interesting symbolism about family trauma cycles regarding the veil. Mother has compassion for her children, while Grandmother has a veil blocking it out. When Mother can't handle the situation, she uses the veil from Grandmother to cope. Family trauma is often dealt with through substance abuse. The drugs can hide emotions that can't be confronted, causing mental instability and household abuse. Abuse that repeats over and over. Abusers turn their victims into abusers, which leads to the victim abusing substances to hide their trauma.

Mother is like a drunk that swore they would never drink like their parents did. She takes on the same crutch her parents used as a coping mechanism.

I loved the ending scene but if Marcus floats around upside down full-time that is going to be hilarious!

Mother sang the hymm to Seven as well in season one, when she was still pregnant with him.
Seven wasn't trying to feed of mother to kill her, but to be deweaponized. Mother gets her power from her eyes, Seven in what he eats. Blood in the tree gave him the power, mothers milk would have removed it. This also goes back to season one when she fed him android blood, and blood from Otto.
Just see how gentle is with mother in the skies and the expression in his eyes. The confusion when the feeding holes don't appear, and him trying to get away, and not making any attempt to hurt her.

the most unexplainable to me this season is how the entity communicated with Sue in the tropical zone, which it could not penetrate because of the EMP shield.

I think when Marcus doesn’t come back the kids as usual will go out looking for him. I know he’s upside down Jesus but I think he’ll be the one to save mother. They hinted that they would team up I believe we’ll get it in season 3. And I think we’ll end season 3 in a new region with a new threat.

Evil? No. Completely misguided? Yes. I'm sure Campion will change Grandmother. I believe she will free Mother.

Grandma isn't evil, her ways are just completely emotionless, but since she doesn't have her veil anymore maybe she will change? Or can she just grow another veil because she is botanitech?
She is protecting the humans and the planet itself from the entity.
