Not only a hero. He has one of the clearest, most logical and most lucid minds I've ever read or heard. And there's more: he communicates subtle ideas with astounding clarity and brevity.

This dude threw away his life so we would know what was happening, he sacrificed his american life, his standing in the u.s. and his privacy for the rest of his days... just to tell the ppl of the u.s. that we are being violated.
This man is a badass like no other

“I used to work for the government, now I work for the public”
“What does that mean”
“I never realized there was a difference”
That’s a powerful line

He’s possibly THE most interesting person to listen to, for me personally. Not only due to the topic, but more so due to his amazing ability to instantly know why you asked the question, what you could be getting at and what you’re trying to learn from the answer. I’ve never communicated with anyone, in person, that could really hear me to that extent. Also, as someone else mentioned, his ability to put abstract and complicated thoughts into a 100% clear and communicable form is absolutely incredible. That’s what made me look for and watch all of his interviews I could find and be just as fascinated by the last one as I was by the first one.

Edward Snowden is one of the most necessary people in the past century. Even though the Government swears to live by the Constitution, he exposes the many constitutions they’ve created and abided by among themselves since the original Constitution.

This guy should be a role model for all of us.

And having such a brilliant, eloquent, consious, and responsible citizen, Americans chose an orange for a president.
Sometimes I fear we overestimate the power of reason, apparently people make choices based on emotions.... It resonates with lines from Snowden film: people don't want freedom, they want security.
