In this live interview, Jordan Peterson unpacks the idea that people's value does not stem from their group identity, but rather from their 'Spark of Divinity.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conversations feature John Anderson, former Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, interviewing the world's foremost thought leaders about today's pressing social, cultural and political issues.

John believes proper, robust dialogue is necessary if we are to maintain our social strength and cohesion. As he puts it; "You cannot get good public policy out of a bad public debate."

Brilliant man. Oh please, let this trio come together again. These men are leaders. Not leaders in the venal world of politics, but leaders whose words speak to the holes in our souls.

And THAT Ladies + Gentlemen is how a interviewer/host is supposed to conduct himself. Let the guest's run with it and not interrupt or say something stupid. John Anderson sets a standard that many talk show hosts need to aspire to!

Thank you Mr. Anderson for sharing this out take. I believe this is at the very core of all things right now. I believe Ayn Rand got so much right in her recognition of the evils of the collectivist mindset but missed the point that Dr. Peterson makes: that each person is a miracle created by God himself and thus deserves to be treated with respect. I believe that without this, a society cannot be just.

Opening statement says it all. The supreme being may be fact or myth; but, humans need their evil instincts regulated..we are doomed if we try to self regulate our deeds and words.

The divinity within us is more than a spark and if properly identified gives us greater respect for others. Realising that the same divinity exists in others awakens us to the reality that when we hurt others we are actually hurting ourselves.

Very soon, I will have to experiment benzo hell like Dr Peterson. I've been on Xanax for 15 years... Now about to taper off slowly. I know things will get rough. He's an inspiration for having survived this hell and coming back so strong. It gives me hope. It's amazing how he healed. I can see how clear headed he is now, after going through hell. Respect.

The way Mr. Peterson responded and referred to Mr. Anderson's introduction, emphasizing horrors of collectivist viewpoint versus redeeming impact of mutual respect and deeply Christian belief in divine spark in each of us, especially considering he's a Jungian psychoanalyst, is platinum. But with all respect, what Mr. Anderson begun with, referring to Mr. Robert Menzies, about Democracy supposedly recognizing this spark and realizing everyone's equality before Heavens, is rubbish.
No Democracy was ever mentioned by Jesus, neither was it advertised by St. Peter or Paul, introduced by Constantine the Great or Theodosius, or any Byzantine emperor whatsoever. The narration that the modern, revolutionary, republican Democracy has its roots in Athenian Demokratia, sought by Solon and eventually introduced by Cleisthenes is hardly accurate and legendary at best - instead it should rather be called Pollocracy (from hoi polloi). Modern Democracy has been pushed by the revolutionary current since the beginning of Enlightenment and shortly after became the supreme idol of all leftist groups (e.g. social-democrats), who also push for collectivist governance and mindset. It is the opium for the masses, in which we're all raised and indoctrinated from cradle 'till grave. We soak with it and some of us, like Mr. Anderson or Mr. Menzies, then become highest politicians driven solely by this idea and its practices. We constantly speak of it and have mouthful of it. We swim in it, bath in it, we wallow our heads in it, and we may be in fact even baptizing ourselves with it, instead of Jesus Christ, because it's the great, modern religion, tailored especially for us. If we're temporarily drawn out of it, we drip with it, cry for it and yell about it, like nothing else. But, it's the carrot dangling from the tip of a stick - we think, that by voting our Prime Ministers, Presidents or parties we make our world go round, and we categorically deny, that behind this facade of such political hights, a governance may be hidden, so horribly sinister in their deeply studied understanding of ourselves, that we better not speak or think about it, neither in broad daylight, nor even inside the trembling tranquility of our minds. All the revolutionary sans-culottes and intelligentsia do their very bidding, by designing and implementing philosophies, socio-techniques and practices, originating as hush inspirations from these misty rulers, and working directly for their advantage. Lefties and other revolutionaries are always absolutely convinced, that their rebelling sacrifices will deliver humanity from tyranny, if only we'll all unconditionally submit ourselves to their (and thus ours) Revolution.
But now it's the end of Democracy, or rather it is its final, obvious stage. We no more swim in it - we drown in it, and our true rulers become our saviors now, by handing us the razor's edge, which we can scale on our way to the New Normal (aka Novus Ordo), and thoroughly visualizing the dangers of overstretched and wrongly comprehended Rule of the Mob.
This is the end, beautiful friend... Can you picture what will be?

the problem is our putting faith in "ourselves, " we can't save ourselves.

That "spark of the divine" requires accountability and gratitude to the divine who gave it. We are not in the dark as to what the Creator requires - but many want to pretend that his laws and principles are relative. That is not the truth. And divine justice will not be delayed. Revelation 10.6

Your joy and purpose is to create from creativity in situations (work, family etc) in the likeness of god himself. If you have good intentions you will do good, it will flow natural. But it often go´s wrong because we are born in a family who doensn´t respect our divine natural state. We internalize negative energy that influence our natural divine state and that becomes patterns that continue to create situations untill we change them. We also meet challenges to make us better and grow but often we see them negative. I feel a deep connection with my soul, but I know some don´t. Some things stay a mistery but I know this. Wherever you are ons your path, if you put the hard work in, you will be on the right path.
