This is the type of izzet deck I love, spellslinging not controlling, love the content as always!

I like it list. I've only made a small change which is swapped the thermo alchmist to kessig Flamebreather. Since they don't have defender, you can cast and get the full benefit of ancestral anger of them.

It's funny how "You See a Guard Approach" is really more like "you see a lightning bolt approach" when you use the second mode.

I think you did have lethal in match 4 @34:50. Learning for environmental sciences lets you cast it getting an island and then still play Delver of Secrets. With this line you get to untap Thermo-Alchemist an extra time and get an extra pump on your Umara Mystic.

Love these burn style decks! I never seem to see many budget decks being constructed so this is a nice break on my wildcards lol

I like the budget build, I have a "real" standard deck but I like to be able to mix it up every now and then without burning through too many wildcards.

I've been climbing platinum with this deck. I swapped one of the iterations for another "you hear a guard approach" and am considering doing another. Having 1 of those in hand has been the game winner more often than otherwise.

Overall, the mentality of how to play this deck is to avoid blocking and focus only on aggression and protecting your threats. It's quite a bit of fun.

Love this brew! Been working on a similar one with simic for pump and protection, but I'm digging the burn aspect this takes. Have you tried it with kessig flamebreather? Seems like it would be better than the thermo since it can still attack and doesn't need to tap to do damage

You see a guard approach is honestly a really good card. Being able to protect your creatures or get in opportune attacks seems really nice. Too bad combat math doesnt matter more in constructed. Still protecting your own creatures is usually pretty useful.

Stormchaser Drake really shines in either Azorius or Simic. I like to play it with fightspells (especially the one where you need snow-permanents, as a Snow-Land version Simic deck).
I miss Fading Hope in your version of the deck, because it can be a really huge tempo swing, especially against Selesnya Lifegain Decks, where you can get a creature with 4+ +1/+1 counters of the board.
I also feel like Cemetry Illuminator even though it sometimes is a little expensive as a 3 drop, is a really good creature to get your deck going (also in the Izzet version probably, but it's not really budget to be fair, on the other side neither are Expressive Iteration or the rare lands, if someone would play them outside of MTG Arena).

Id love to try this deck with stormcaller, i really like the card!
Oh my god, I just bursted a lifegain deck with storm caller + pumping umara mystics. I actually messed up my combo and still dealt like 23 dmg and won.

If you focus more on targeting your creatures with instants and sorceries, then you can easily include Orvar the All-Form since he can make copies of creatures you target.
