A day after the release of Padmaavat, actor Ranveer Singh talks about how how he got into the headspace of playing an evil character like Alauddin Khilji. It took three weeks of alone time, a diet of red meat and lifting weights to make him play the character convincingly. He also speaks about why this was the most fun he's had filming with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and constructively channeling the rage he felt when the film ran into trouble.

A man who is not embarrassed to say that he is a sensitive man and that he cried after watching the film, is a man worth praising. Apart from being a supremely talented actor, Ranveer is clearly a wonderful human being. Deepika has found her match ❤

I live on this stuff. These interviews, the filmmaking process, actors and their analogies about the movies and the roles they play. I can see the emotions when Ranveer says that he wanted to be a Hindi movie actor. I want to be like you Anupama. I love talking about movies, the process behind, psychology, everything. I want to have this kind of conversations with people who love their job. I enjoy all kinds of Cinema but in the end, like Ranveer, my guilty pleasure is mainstream Bollywood. I wish, I could have these conversations with people in film industry.

Ranveer Singh is amazing! I believe every character he plays. Also, the way he talks about acting; the passion, feels very similar to Shahrukh Khan's. I love this man!

Please get Jim Sarbh. He was terrific. He hardly has any interviews. The last we saw him was at Rajeevs newcomers roundtable back in 2016. He's a delight to listen to. So raw. Should've called him here with Ranveer. He speaks his heart.

Ranveer is definetely the future of bollywood he mixes into his performance bollywood and hollywood style of acting. His passion towards acting is truely amazing and its nice to hear how all happens instead of other actors who just downplaying it or aren´t articulated enough to express themselves. Here you have one who doesn´t shy away and say it how he feels it.
