Guys, do NOT dismiss this as just another stylized indie game. This is from Supergiant Games the developers of Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre, some of the best games of this decade. These guys are amazing at what they do, and this game won't be an exception. Cannot wait to play it once it's complete!

These devs always put a smile on my face.

I love how Supergiant basically made him a superpowered teenage boy, complete with his father complaining to him to clean up his damn room.

I've been a huge fan of Supergiant Games from the start with Bastion. I like their 'style forward' approach and how they're able to balance elements from previous games with new ideas that allow new titles to feel familiar while still treading new ground; I consider these games as an artistic expression because all the houses of the workshop (music, art, story, gameplay, etc) must be done equally well for the games to work. Usually they have spent about 2 years between each release; HADES is different, and I think it's because the visual, aural, and story aspects of this game came together very quickly. Roguelikes are pretty hard to do well and take a lot of playtesting, so they'v decided to use open alpha to expedite the process. Keep in mind that what's shown here isn't the final product, and that the game will likely play very differently by the time it's officially released, which will probably be at least another year.

Protagonist having a voice, in a Supergiant game. How is this possible?

I love how when he dies the second time at the very end the way he says "AGAIN?!" accurately encapsulates the frustration the player might be feeling. Like Zagreus sympathizes with you. Looks incredibly promising.

I'm a latecomer to Supergiant. Played Bastion a few months ago and loved it. Working my way through Transistor now. As much as I love it, I have to admit the combat is hard. Can't wait for Pyre and Hades looks awesome too!

Jen's art is top notch as usual. I hope it'll still be a magical adventure, not just combat.

I like this charming and somewhat humorous take on one of my favourite mythologies. I'm looking forward to it.

As someone who isn't really into roguelikes, the gameplay is super satisfying.

As cool as it would be to see something more unique from Supergiant, I can't say I'm dissatisfied with this. This is honestly all I could ever wish for. Same static camera angle, Bastion gameplay, but with new art style (that always exceeds my expectations), new story and a new soundtrack. I mean the game is not identical, but it's the same concept which I love. Powerstrike still in there I see.

Man, I do like EVERYTHING that Supergiant games do, though my only concern is that they minimally change their engine for every following game, like Telltale did

I knew it was a supergiant game the moment I heard the narrator, saw the character drop down into that art style, listened to that music
