Operation Flashpoint: Red River | Mission 2 - Meet the neighbors - Part 1 4.5
2:50 to skip intro. Played on PC. This game is better polished than Dragon Rising. I was getting used to the gameplay, since it's more of a military simulator, so I didn't aproach the mission like a pro. It tries to be one a realistic first person shooters, somewhere around Armed Assault but with tighter shooting mechanics.

I don't understand why everyone is complaining about this game...it's a great game and is still a very realistic FPS, then you have people praising Battlefield lmao.

I appreciate the tips, but keep in mind that I wasn't showcasing my skills or tactics in this video, I was just showing the game.

@marvelfiend1990 If you are into military stuff and like a more simulation-style aproach of a shooter, yes. Otherwise, it isn't.

@mattall4christ I was recovering, trying to spot the enemies on the hill.

Haha, I also noticed this, I guess it just looks cooler, even though it's useless. Same as the FAL reload animation in MW2, useless flashy moves.

I love how long it took you to react to being shot, and how little impact being shot had.

It is true and I usually take advantage of cover in shooters, I don't know why I was so exposed when I recorded this.

As far as I know, you need a receiver.

@sgtschmitty8013 At 9:20 I only have one left besides the loaded one. The maximum magazine size is 5 + the loaded one, which means six.

@maryjane4201000 I wasn't bragging about my skills, nor making a walkthrough/how to play. I was new at the game and I was just showing it. Of course I know M16 is better for long range engagements and a silencer shouldn't be used unless you're in close-quarter combat. I didn't even know to choose attachments when I recorded this.

@patrolmostwanted I can't really say much about Dragon Rising because I haven't played it for more than a few hours, but it is better polished. I don't know anything about the console version (I was playing on PC), but you could give it a try. It's still OF, it doesn't feel like Arma, though. The feeling is similar to Dragon Rising, just improved.

That's because I always keep my 360 controller connected to the PC, so the game detected it and switched to the XBOX interface.

@sgtschmitty8013 I was thinking of doing a playthrough, but apparently there aren't many interested in this game. Missions are really long, 30 to 60 minutes (like this one) so it would be some work. I might do it though.

@TheBennyisCool I perfectly get your point, but for now we'll have to stick to this kind of realism.
