Okay. Making a new comment. I'm kind of surprised this show isn't more popular. As a native Oregonian from the Portland area, I've been longing for a show that accurately represents the population. This show nails it completely. If you haven't watched it, it doesn't glorify being obese or overweight in any way. Rather, it's a story with a main character that happens to be overweight, and tells a tale about how people see her weight before they see her talent and personality. She's a very intelligent, confident and charming individual, but a lot of people still just see her as the fat girl. She acknowledges that maybe she doesn't try as hard as people want her to, she enjoys eating, doesn't exercise much, and prefers to spend her time writing, but she's been prone to gaining weight ever since she was a child, even though her mother always had her on a diet. It happens. I think some people in that situation choose to follow their passion rather than devoting their life to being a fitness influencer. It's a really charming show with a genuinely interesting main character and believable sides. I adore it, and I hope other people give it a chance. Even more, I hope this becomes a lasting series until it wraps up nicely.
