A group of interesting people live together in a farm at West Virginia mountains. They try to make a living and express their viewpoints through arts. Their lifestyle is quite eco-friendly.

I thought this place seemed so cool when I was a teenager.

Wow, I bought a t-shirt from these guys almost two years ago. I honestly had NO idea what message they were trying to get out. Being a stupid kid I was like, "Oh, sweet logo, I think I'll buy it." I thought by "underground art movement" it would be like a bunch of pissed off musicians and artists or something. Yeah I guess they are, but I had no idea what their message was until about five minutes ago. Dammit.

"In English, Please." Remember these guys from San Diego in the late 80's selling mags at Balboa Park

Me: D.C., late nineties or early 00s- got magazine on the street. (West Virginia and artists' colony? sounds great!) On the train home, flipping through magazine, it dawns on me.. HOLY S#!T! Very bizarre.. Do those people w/the "Stop bitching.." bumper stickers know what Zendik is? I doubt it. **But HERE is what I don't get: How is it a "revolution" if you're dropping OUT OF society? Furthermore, if you renounce our mainstream "Death Culture" and hate it so much, WHY ARE YOU SOLICITING DONATIONS AND SELLING MERCHANDISE?? Also, in the magazine I got, they obviously wanted to make it look very close-knit but between the lines a hierarchy was evident: Wolf's family was featured prominently, but the guys w/the magazines on the street sure weren't in there.. So...Who's doing the farm work and who gets to paint-? ..*Some years later, my mom was excitedly telling me about a place she thought sounded GREAT(!) for me- luckily I had some reading material for her..

I think it's funny that the intro music is "Another One Bites the Dust". Funny cult intro music

Geeez....
All that great recording gear just to record so much manic, bi-polar crap.

I'm as all for hitting up on as the next guy, but becoming some wierdo doing grunt work while others fingerpaint just goes too far! When I'm in the mood to try to sweet-talk with women like that, I'll go to Taos, New Mexico, like everybody else.

their web-site used to say if you are a trust fund baby, we want you (really want your money!)

Also that art is really bad. Seriously- it's high school level. You need to join the real world and go to school for art like any other job, hippies.

I'm friends with someone who was born into Zendik. He's cool, but his social skills with girls is quite lacking because all he knows is the farm and their dogma.
