Jakob is a keeper of the flame of all good things in rock music. Not just his dad's but all of it. He's a good dude and a good musician in his own right.

In all candor, I cried at the beginning of the film with Tom's interview, knowing it was his last...and then again at the end when they dedicated the movie to his memory. It's a wonderful film and well worth seeing..but it really is bittersweet for anyone who cared--and always will--for/about TP. A heart so big..it could crush this town..

When Petty toured with Dylan, Jakob told Tom's daughter " can you believe that Tom Petty is your dad? "

"Echo in The Canyon" is entertaining and educational, saw it twice !! The transitioning from folk to rock in the 60's has left us with great music 50+ years later !!!

I was so excited to find this. It’s was very entertaining. Jakob adored Tom who was one of his influences. He inducted Tom and the band into the RRHOF. Tom inspired so many younger artists but he also inspired those who had been influences on him like the Byrds, the Beatles, Bob Dylan snd Johnny Cash. McGuinn, Harrison, Starr and Dylan all wanted to work with him. Johnny recorded “I Won’t Back Down”.

The trailer for this looks great. Seeing Tom in this is worth it alone, but the entire film looks promising. I can't wait to see it.

Love the Movie! Jakob Dylan is always a gentleman in the way he answers the questions when he is interviewed and how he speaks about other muscians. I can see why Tom Petty would have been willing to spend the day in a music shop being interviewed by Jakob! R.I. P. Tom!

Jakob Dylan sounds like his dad Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty. (When he sings)

I've always liked Jakob Dylan primarily because he has actual talent and is a great performer. But he has a case of what I like to call "Bradley Cooper face", which is a person who just looks like a nice person from appearance alone. I noticed it about Bradley Cooper first so I dubbed it that. lol

I'll be seeing this more than once. The trailer looks great and knowing it's Tom's last interview is surreal.
The music that was made out of this area and era is truly what you have to call Art !!!

I went into Truetone Music once & was telling the staff I'd come over from the UK to see Tom Petty in Austin and then decided to spend a week in LA after the show. The guy behind the counter told me he'd just been in the store a couple of days before which blew my mind, he said he was chain-smoking but they couldn't tell him not to ... because he was Tom petty! My absolute hero, such a privilege so to see him on that last tour.

Jacob Dylan cuts right thru the bs. He might not always say it but you can tell when he knows hes being fed a line of superficial ego. Was my take in that awesome show. Hes a good interviewer. Hes a good listener.

Andy signed me to Capitol records in 2006 right before it folded. Boy did we make a great record.
