Chandrashekhar Ji began studying Jyotish (Vedic astrology) when he was about 8 years of age. His father who was a medical practitioner by profession had learned Jyotish from his mother. His grandmother, was a renowned astrologer of her days and had got the knowledge from her ancestors and had taught many pupils this Divine Science in Indore, the city where my grandfather lived.

Learned astrologers of Nagpur, where his father shifted about 4 years after his birth, used to come to his father for astrological discussions and listening to his father explain the intricacies of the principles of Vedic astrology, his interest in this Divine science was kindled.

His studies in astrology continued, side by side with his schooling and then college education in Mechanical Engineering.

He has been now learning Vedic astrology for almost 52 years and has seen many changes in the way science is practiced over time.

He is a firm believer that Jyotish, being a Vedanga (the limb of Vedas), is to be used for helping those in distress.

Thank you for this amazing discussion. I would like to add that I use these sutras in a very dynamic manner i.e. instead of using just atmakaraka and other planetary placements in swamsha and lagna chart, I also use jaimini rashi aspects and it works like a miracle as if everything has been already set in time by the cosmos (I would also request you to try this methodology of mine on charts). For example if a person has jupiter in swamsha or jupiter in karakamsha in lagna chart... but that karakamsha is also aspected by venus, mercury, saturn or any other planet through jaimini aspects (dual signs aspect dual signs, movable aspect fixed and fixed aspect movable and so on with exceptions), you can combine sutras to predict multiple dimensions in the career of a single individual which is quite true these days because of multidisciplinary nature of professions (a person can be a diplomat, minister, consultant, businessman, government official, author all at the same time).
Thank you!! Om Namah Shivay 🙏🙏

Very inyelligent and versatile interpretation. I have Moon as Atmakaraka, Venus 2nd from it IN ITS OWN AMSA and Mars 3rd from it ALSO IN ITS OWN AMSA. In the Rasi, Moon, Mars and Venus are ruling good house for a Cancer Acendant, and all three are personal planets including Mars placed in the 10th and Venus placed in the 1st. They are linked also through Nakshatra lordship, Moon aspects Venus and vice cersa; and Mars aspects Venus too.
What is the profession that have all three in common which I have experienced with? Helping commuters in the transportaion industry through administrative work using machines (computers and card readers).
I usually include the 3rd from Atmakaraka together with the 1st and 2nd from Atmakaraka in the pattern of planetary configuration for interpretation of profession of the person if more and more of the following points are satisfied because 3rd is the 2nd from the 2nd :
(1) The planet in the 3rd from Atmakaraka is in its own sign. If the node conjuncts it at the same time when it is in its own sign, it makes the effect more potent.
(2) The planet is a natural malefic since 3rd is an Upoachaya house and here natural malefics denote doing. Mars is especially potent here as Mars is the karaka of the 3rd.
(3) There is a continuous chain or link in serial order 1st, 2nd and 3rd from Atmakaraka (1st the Swamsa there would naturally have the planet Atmakaraka). This causes a rippling effect of energy through the three- node link or chain.
