The Art of Effortless Living is a documentary based on the traditional philosophy and essential teaching of Taoism. The practice of nondoing, nonforcing is the essential aspect of Taoism known as wu-wei. Attributed to the great sage Lao-tzu, the philosophy of wu-wei teaches you how to develop a natural state of consciousness not bound by thought or preconceived limitations. Experienced by the greatest artists, athletes, musicians, and writers, this heightened state of consciousness, referred to as "being in the zone," is where intelligent spontaneity and effortless action flourish via a practice rooted in permitting the natural harmony of the cosmos to prevail. Essentially, how to live life effortlessly. Wu-wei can yield a renewed sense of trust in many aspects of your daily life, making each day more effortless. The Art of Effortless Living provides keen insight on how you can experience the beauty of achieving an enlightened, effortless mind while reveling in the process of life's unfolding.

When you don't force yourself upon life, you realize you ARE life. ❤️

Outstanding documentary Jason! Here's a quote that rocks: "Flow with whatever is happening and let your mind be free. Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. This is the ultimate." - Zhuang Zhou 🙏

I feel so validated because many of these ideas that I have realized over the years after watching people, experiencing my own life and reading are actually a thing.

As a musician I have experienced the flow state. So blissful and all the anxiety from society fall away leaving the being of life, joy, and inner happiness.

🙏🏻 Jason. My awakening had been triggered by an otherworldly experience at the Yonghe lama temple in Beijing in Oct 2018. A massive beam of energy hit my head, I could feel it flowing down to my toes - it was so intense, that I felt my knees shaking and I had the feeling I would black out, so I immediately sat down and then tears started to appear, I soaked up the atmosphere... my real awakening happened massively and dramatically Nov 2019. Later I realized that I already had that flow integrated, it was hidden in my brain’s unconscious. I only became consciously aware of it when I studied philosophy such as Stoicism, Taoism basics, Hinduism basics, in a nutshell spirituality came into my life - unforced. It just happened out of curiosity, since then I have been observing many synchronicities. Spiritual awakening has been an emotional rollercoaster ride, several nervous breakdowns included and floods of tears. I have been releasing many traumata already and feel quite balanced, though it is still a long way to go.

Let me put it like this: I always have been different, and now I know why. Stunningly out of a sudden I have been starting to use my hands to accentuate my speech (without thinking about it). There is so much beauty in living in the now, especially when you train yourself to look at the world through the eyes of your inner child. In the past my mind was always busy, thinking in loops over and over. That stopped.

PS: In reality I only read Tao Te Ching late Summer 2020, and I was stunned that I understood it right away, and noticed that I have been applying many of the principles without even knowing them. Probably due to psychological knowledge and trusting my intuition fully. It seems it helps being highly sensitive, INTP, and very likely Aspie. My ADHD almost disappeared 😉. In my opinion higher consciousness is a way of accessing the power of the brain’s unconscious (automatically linked to subconscious and conscious) via universal consciousness.

The choice of words, the video clips and pictures, the music, the depth of your words, and your logical explanation of not going against any doctrine; are simply astounding. May mother nature bless you brother. May you achieve enlightenment in this very life. Thank you for this amazing video !! Lots of love !!

This video strikes my heart very deeply. Taoist’s teaching of Wu Wei is a very profoundly revolutionary message for the modern man. Wu Wei is a pointer or a golden KEY to the open door of freedom and taking a journey to Moksha or Nirvana. To put it in modern terms; it is the door to get out of the social insanity of the currently turbulent world. Cheers

Jason, I just want to say thank you for making this. I’ve silently watched this video over and over for some time now.
I was raised in a very emotionally damaging doomsday cult which marred my spiritual senses for many years after I woke up from it. In short, with much study and inner reflection, I now find myself a practicing Daoist.. finally letting go of the past and accepting the world as it is. I still understand very little and my journey is only beginning, but I just want you to know that I appreciate the work you’ve put in to make this, as it has been very helpful in leading me to a better place. Cheers.

The day I watched this video I just felt this bizarre wave in my brain later on when I was watching TV. I was just so happy to hear all these things I've been picking up elsewhere in one single video. Life made sense. I was finally home in a way. From that day on my generalized anxiety just went away. It felt like enlightenment even though it's probably not. I'll be forever grateful for your work, Jason. Thank you!

This is the real secret of life -- to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play.

I loved this. Thank you. Just beautiful. I find Byron Katie’s “The Work” has helped me most falling in love with reality, especially the things I deemed as negative before. To no longer fight and fear has brought more love and trust into my life.
