Great review! The game has its flaws but I think, for what it is, it definitely gets the job done.

I bought the game shortly after checking this review and a few others - it's only £10 so I figured it was worth a risk but must say I'm really pleased! It does indeed feel a mile ahead of D3 in near every respect and I really fancied another ARPG other than Torchlight (inc. #2). It also doesn't break the bank (and doesn't require battle.net) unlike Activision titles either so that's a nice bonus and I've seen they've been quite active patching so far.

Enjoyed the review, answered many questions I had and gave a great idea of what to expect should I decide to purchase the game. My only issue with the video was, you mentioned lackluster sound effects, and while some could be heard briefly during your review, I feel giving a few extra seconds of just audio with what you mentioned would've perfected this review. Thanks again for making this video, enjoyed it very much.

Haha, well, to be fair, in this game it's pretty much just one zone where you will encounter spiders. The rest is mostly arachnid-free.

Very cool review, I'm actually surprised by this game; hopefully it will get better with patches. Also a key would be neat-o.

I have to disagree with this review, I'm loving this game! I'm all range in my skill choice, and I love taking pot shots from afar, slowing down time, moving back, and fire another volley of shots!

I...kinda enjoyed the game on PC, and am enjoying it again on the Xbox. The loot systems is pretty good, and I found the tower defense missions fun! The byplay between Van Helsing and Katarina was entertaining as well! If you liked Torchlight you'll probably like this. Arcane Mechanic / Constructor FTW!

If they are planning a trilogy, I think this game could turn into something much more polished. The atmosphere of the game looks fantastic. There are just elements of the game that lack intrigue. If the developers learn from their mistakes and flaw, this could become a great trilogy. You criticism is a great help to the developers, keep up the good work.

Sorry Haas, you got it wrong. Great game... and now the second is in beta to be released in a few days. What more could one want for $15. These guys are indie developers and imho do a better job than some bigger studios out there!

Is it true that you can only have 2 active abilities at one time? I know there are more than 2 to choose from. I was talking about actually being able to use during combat.

As they planned for this to be a trilogy, I do hope they work on the clear flaws for the next two installments. There is certainly potential.

This is a solid review man, liked and subbed. Keep up the good work. :) Just put in a bit more emotion; explain it like you're talking to your friend.

Although it's been practically over 4 months since this comment's been made, I feel as though the following statement would still apply (and that some interested individuals might see this).
Basically, the "models", or bases for such models, such as how the legs move and everything, are already within just about every modeling tool that a model designer would use for a game. It's kinda of like cutting your work in half for a whole group of enemies. Which would be nice. Would be.
