Multiple Sclerosis is an auto immune disease that effects the brain and spinal cord. The body's immune system, which protects you from foreign substances such as bacteria, mistakenly attacks normal tissues, targeting the central nervous system. Although much is known about the mechanisms involved in the disease process, the cause remains unknown. Life expectancy of people with MS is 10 years lower than the unaffected population. There are treatments that can help prevent new attacks but there is no known cure.
This is a film about the real experiences of a brave woman, Dawn Setters, as she lives her life beyond the limitations of Multiple Sclerosis.
