Picked up a small press for my Dremel tool called a Dremel Worstation. I set it up and started "drilling" holes in some glass I had lying around.

Matt, here's a tip/trick I learned years ago when 1st beginning to do glasscraft. To avoid that chipping you get on the inside of the bottle fill it w/water & use a cork stopper, drill as you did just now. the water pressure on the inside will not only avoid the chipping, it will also mitigate any cracking or breaking of the glass as you bore through on the other side.

I know this video is 3 years old but thought I would add something to glass drilling. Get some cheap modeling clay and make a ring out of it, put it around the drill site and fill it with water, the clay acts like a little dam.

When cutting glass, some put a ring of plumber's putty around where they are cutting the hole, then fill it with water/oil so there is a constant reservoir of coolant/lubricant. Saves on having to keep squirting water and potentially running out.

Matt, stress gloves and eye protection with glass. Glass can and does shatter at times and its more fun to get the shards out of gloves than hands and eyes. I usually wear breathing gear too, Amazing how much dust comes along with vapors and gets left in te air. I love mine BTW.

Great share, and enjoyable to watch. Got one of these cheap off the internet, now to go make dust and shavings.

Great video.  I've just spent over two hours fitting the thing together by following Dremel's own vague written instructions.  If only I had discovered your video earlier it would have been a ten minute job!

AWESOME video. Thank you! I just stumbled across this clip, and it answered my question perfectly about "How to drill small diameter holes without getting a HUGE drill press?" You just saved me plenty of time, frustration, and money! I recently bought a Dremel tool, so now I just need to get that workstation...

Nice addition to the shop! I've used my Drexel to etch glass. Didn't know there was a hole saw for glass. Have fun.
