I first heard this song on new girl.. around the time when I met my boyfriend.. and I would cry all the time.. out of just happiness.. and now sadness. He passed away 3 months ago.. and I completely forgot how obsessed I was with this song and the wedding scene and how he would just watch me cry .. lol. Just thought I'd throw this out there into the world.

Even though this song is about heartbreak, I think it was good for the episode. Because most of it was in the background during the ceremony, but the one part that was accented was the beginning. Specifically the lyric “I’ve been thinking bout tomorrow, instead of drowning in the past.” I love how Cece walked down the isle during this point in the song, because it’s their relationship. Their engagement was so sudden, but they stopped “drowning in the past”( all the times their relationship didn’t work, all the heartbreak) and just simply “thinking bout tomorrow” ( the fact that they loved eachother and didn’t want to spend their life with anyone else) I think it was an amazing choice of song. Just love Seinabo's voice and the music of this track. Binge watched all 146 episodes of New Girl (2011-18) in the last 2-3 weeks - Season 5 final episode (Landing Gear) brought me here in 2019 ! Loved the TV show as well - great sitcom in a long while.
