Charlie and Bill are my absolute fave interviews to watch. Funny, normal, and brilliant. I think Charlie and Karl Pilkington would be hilarious together !!!

Down to earth, no nonsense, sensible interview featuring common sense replies and a tongue-in-cheek humorous slant from Bill.  Very restrained, in both attitude and lifestyle.  Compare that to the shameless love of celebrity status exhibited by a lot of performers in the public eye.  Belies the media-projected image of the Rolling Stones.

So funny that even in 1976 they were asking them if it was the last tour. Long live The Stones!!

hah you got that right. I remember in a documentary Keith says that Charlie hated the fame and that he wouldn't care if nobody knew the stones, as long as he could make music, that's a true musician, not like a lot of the commercial crap we get nowadays.

Charlie laying back that millisecond on the snare hits makes the stones rock how many drummers can you recognize just playing a straight ahead 4/4 beat? It's always been Charlie watts and his rolling stones

I saw the Stones on this tour 45 years ago. The big rumor was: Last Tour... I was front row in the Super Dome, general admission. Had to fight for that position, constantly fight for that position. The stories inside the dome that night are legendary!

Usually Bill and Charlie are really reserved. This interviewer must have been quite good to get them to open up like that.

Charlie Watts is one of the coolest people around. He's unflappable no matter the situation and has a tremendous dry sense of humor.

I agree. They chewed up so many people along the way. Amazing he held in there, probably because Keith decided he liked him. That and the fact that he's a great drummer.
