We appreciate your comments and input. Papo have retained their very distinctive look with these figures.

I think we do need to wait until the actual models come out, we should get a better idea of the finish and the paint schemes once the production runs have commenced. As for the play set concept, we think this is in direct response to the product introductions by Schleich. Hope this helps.

I like the Iguanodon and Therizinosaurus, even with their minor inaccuracies (which I don't fault Papo for, since most of their figures have a few, but still look really nice most of the time). I'm really glad Papo has decided to make figures of these dinosaurs at last. I think these are their first herbivores with articulated jaws as well (even though the Therizinosaurus is a theropod)? I can't wait to see these reviewed on the channel.

I do think the playset could have been better, but mostly because it's stylistically too different from their highly detailed dinosaur models (kind of reminds me of the Good Dinosaur, but the opposite situation here), but it is what it is. At least Schleich has some good landscape sets, and there's also the accessory packs from the Beasts of the Mesozoic line. There's also the prehistoric trees both Safari Ltd and CollectA have made as well.

Just wanted to say I just came across your channel recently, and have binge watched some of the videos with my daughter! we both love Schleich and Papo figures (I especially love the dinosaurs) and your content is amazing, by far the most in depth figure reviews i've come across - thanks for helping me narrow down my daughters christmas list! keep up the good work!

I like the Iguanodon most cause it reminds of the Iguanodons from Disney's Dinosaur and I like the Therizinosaurus I would have preferred a more neutral stance but I think they were going for the look of the Therizinosaurus from Chased By Dinosaurs when it fought the Tarbosaurus.

Little fact the claws of Therizinosaurus were originally thought to be the ribb bones of a giant turtle

Yeah, the Papo news for 2018 aren't so bad, but I think that this time Safari ltd won the day!

Honestly, I enjoy all of them. I don’t see why people are complaining. Enjoy them for what they are. I will get all of them.

- The Iguanodon’s tail looks too short and thin (but i’m still buying it because the detail is insane)
- The Therizinosaurus looks much too threatening and reptilian, it should be coated in feathers and have a more relaxed stance, unless it is is being attacked by an Albertosaurus or something. The stomach is realistic and overall the body shape is perfect, but there should definitely be more feathers. Also, the claws look a bit too short, but that might just be the angle of the camera. Still buying it.
- Not buying cave dude.
- The Amargasaurus looks great model-wise, but i agree with you JC the paint job is just too bland. Papo is famous for ultra realistic style, and the Amargasaurus kind of reminds me of an early 2000’s CollectA figure. I’m a fan of the normal stance (by that, i mean not in attack mode, basically just facing forwards and normal) so i will be buying the Amargasaurus numerous times because i usually make small herds of the dinosaurs. I have a massive table with realistic ferns and conifers and i have herds of dinosaurs on it with some carnivores scattered around.

By the way, i’m studying to be a Palaeontologist, so that makes it a bit more normal to have that, right? Haha, great video JC, although i’m not entirely excited about this line, i have high hopes.

Iguanadon looks fantastic!  I think that there is a lot of realism presented, but Therizinosaurus could use a little more accuracy, I'd say.  There should be a LOT more feathers on therizinosaurus.  I don't like the early man figure.  It looks rather cartoonish in pose, proportion and detail.  Very disappointed in that.   I'd love to see Papo redo the triceratops.  I really hate the Jurassic Park version they presented with the non-commited pose, mediocre sculpting/proportion, and sub-par paint job.  I love Papo's dinos, but sometimes they do some goofy stuff.  The Land of the dinosaurs playset doesn't work with the more realistic dino line.  Cartoony backgrounds/diorama just makes for a poor contrast there.

The amargasaurus.... it has so much potential becoming their best sauropod model.... i really hope that is just a joke...
As far for therizinosaurus... while i like the pose the creature it self looks weird... like the therizinosaurus on a verry old documentary i once saw... were the scintists didn't know exactly if it was fully covered in feathers so they made it look like a featherless bird that suffers from cuncer or whatever...
so far only iguanodon is impressive! i guess i could give another chance to this therizinosaurus tho... wich means i can only wait for you to review it once you get a hold of it.

I don't think it's the jaw, I think it's the whole head that's articulated. You can more so see the seem line on it

I hope they make a quadrupedal spinosaurus, not a JP looking one. I know that there are few fossils and the quadruped theory is debatable, but as a few of their models aren't paleo accurate, I don't think it will make much difference
