I have the Logitech Brio and it really is a good webcam. I use it to record my video and do live streams.

Hi Sean & the Think Media team, I invite you to come to visit #iSpike "New KING Of Live Streaming". I use OBS & I love my RodeCaster Pro and the 2.1 Firmware update is AWESOME. I use a Sure SM7B + RODE PodMic + Panasonic GH5, Canon 2SL, Logitech Brio & Cp22, iPad Air with "Touch-Portal" as my camera & scene switcher + a few other bits n pieces "I stream LIVE 6 shows per (week 3 on YouTube & 3 on Facebook) - Also everything is streamed through my iPhone XS Max "WiFi HotSpot" (un-tethered) It's all happening in the ManCave :-)

M50 questions asked several places. Answers - 1) HDMI Out is only clean with AF OFF. 2) USB Out *IS* clean with Canon EOS Utility Beta (free) or Sparkocam app ($60). Both these drivers also send keep-alive to cure the 30 minute limit problem. HOWEVER, USB out does NOT send full HD. It sends 1024x576. Huge loss of quality.

I use a full HD Panasonic HC-W580 camcorder to record footage to the camera, I then plugin the cable to connect to PC, transfer to PC, edit and then I finally upload to YouTube.
But can I use that camcorder to live stream?

Good tips bro, I’ve just started to post my last of us walkthrough, nothing amazing I don’t even have a camera but I’m going to invest in a 1080p, if I’m blessed enough to gain a following I’ll buy a better one but for now it’s all about having fun, I’m just doing daily uploads for friends to watch but it’s true, you can’t get caught up on views, do what you enjoy and if somethings meant to be it will happen naturally. Hope everyone has a top day

That was a really good video Sean! Quick question, which camera do you prefer: the Canon M50 or Sony a6300? Is there a difference for vlogs/live streams? Thanks!

I'm trying my hand at a new video series. I am taking inspiration from a makeup channel that does Ghost Stories and Makeup. I will be trying my hand at Medical Mysteries & Makeup! I'm stuck at home so I've got plenty of time to work on my camera presence, story telling and research! Wish me luck. Thanks for all your input!!

2:20: its 5 megabits (per second) not 5 megabytes (per second) for needed upload speeds; good video

This has come at the perfect time as I need to start streaming my classes from home! What would be a good setup for Skype/Zoom/Microsoft Meetings? Internet searches provide suggestions that are so different to the equipment, brands etc Youtubers use for vlogging and recording content. I need a good mic, HD camera and lighting source recommendation. I have an idea for a mic and lighting source from your other videos, but what about streaming HD for skype/Zoom?

Thanks for all your content so far, very useful!

Thanks Sean! Refreshing content for me. I'm a beginner to all this and have always wanted to start something. I got a question though. If I'm trying to do a video say to talk through gaming on the TV, for a XBOX or PlayStation where I'll be editing and also placing a picture in picture commentary, what's the best way to set this up?
As I typed this, your part on Elgato appeared on youtube, lol. It looks complicated though, I'll need to do some research on this...

Great info. I have tried to live stream with my phone (samsung S9 plus) and have it set to max time to keep the screen on as well as having the phone on where if you have it plugged in it stays on, unfortunately that is not working. Any ideas? Thanks.
