Star wars canyon EA18 from take off to wheels down. 4.5

removed flat and level vid for entertainment. Death Valley, rainbow canyon, lemoore nas, gets real good at 12:15. This was my incentive flight for 21 years of Naval service. Not everyone gets a back seat ride. I was very fortunate. If you have an impulse to say something bad I will simply delete your comment. Thank you all for watching and may your days be adventurous.

I've maintained these jets for the last 21 years in the Navy and my Skipper let me ride along. One of the many many highlights of my Navy career.

I once did a back seat ride in a Ford Falcon Stationwagon.

I did the back seat of an F4 phantom in '69. I'm 71 now and that was and still is the thrill of my lifetime

I can't believe this is the first time I've seen this video. Working on F/A-18C/E for my career I have seen back seat rides maybe twice. For you my brother, they made it extra special. It touches my heart knowing that you asked for a ride and they delivered. Your 21 years of sacrifice, only a Sailor and family know how this feels. I surely hope that you are enjoying your retirement. Great video.

He's thinking, who's got the best job in the world? THIS GUY!!!

"Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds -

and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of -

wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.

Hovering there I've chased the shouting wind along

and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

"Up, up the long delirious burning blue

I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace,

where never lark, or even eagle, flew;

and, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod

the high untrespassed sanctity of space,

put out my hand and touched the face of God."

I was thinking “man this guy is able to fly like one handed taking selfies?!” until I realised he wasn’t actually piloting... 😂

Tons of respect for all military. Mega tons for fighter pilots, watching that flying through the canyon you know they work up to that with practice, now do that at night in enemy territory with never being there before. I'm glad we have the best pilots in the world.

Looks like Ridgecrest, I spent 8 months on a construction project replacing the LA aqueduct in Haiwee Canyon just north of China Lake, and the highlight of that project was every time you boys would come ripping through the canyon right above us. Never got old!

A friend of mine is a retired fighter pilot. He has a lot of spinal problems because of the obscene G forces he took. He said he would do it again in a heartbeat.
