I journal almost every day, and it helps me to elevate my level of happiness. Thanks to you guys, I started journaling my emotions as well. My emotions are under control, it has become easier for me to navigate my emotions. Especially anger.
Yes, no one would want to take their journal and write it down when you are angry, but trust me it works.

My best tips:

1. Go outside and soak up sunlight regularly
2. Excercise. 3x a week at least. Find a way of moving you enjoy.
3. Learn to play an instrument
4. Get at least 8 hours of sleep and try to keep a regular sleep rhythm
5. Eat healthy. Having some sweets or fast food now and then is fine but try and norish your body with good food. I like the color rule: Try to have as many colors as possible in your meals. And learn to love veggies.

While watching this video, I ended up thinking about things that might make my life happier too. Since I can't drink coffee anymore... I won't put it on my list. :")
1. Have a morning quiet time when I draw or do arts&craft.
2. Drink plenty of water.
3. Do a 15-minute stretching exercise.
4. Read a book/comic/story book.
5. Eat breakfast before 9.
6. Practicing one day at a time, also focusing on one task at a time.
7. Watch cat&dog videos.
8. Don't eat spicy food.
9. Write down how I feel, what makes me happy, sad, the reasons why, and things that I'm grateful for.
10. Trying to sleep early.

Instead of 6, I wrote 10. 😆❤️

I journal every day (or at least I used to, until other things got in the way…I should probably start doing it again; thanks for the reminder! 😊), and it has really helped me deal with my anxiety disorder and the stress that it often brings. I’d recommend journaling to anyone, as it works incredibly well!

I really appreciate this channel that this channel although called Psych2Go is not overly positive and doesn't oversee lesser pleasant topics like depression, burnout, eating disorders, etc. since it is so important to approach these issues in a constructive and healthy way so that people who suffer from them can learn how to deal with them better or even try to treat them. I love this channel. In my opinion, channels who only focus on how to feel happy and productive are depressive because it makes me feel like a failure since other topics aren't even mentioned. Too much positivity is toxic.

I have adopted the journaling habit for more than 1 year, but for some periods of time I didn't do it as often as I should. However, being through a tough time of experiencing a breakup made me do it every day and I can recognize how helpful it is for me to go over the period. I write down every thought and wondering my mind comes up. I allow them to flow out and I actually realize underlying problems and solutions burden deep down.

You know, I can seriously vouche for coffee. My family is notorious among my inner circle for being “the free coffeehouse” because we’ve always got a fresh pot brewing. With three anxious women (plus my husband) all in one house, the coffee disappears quickly so we have to keep brewing it for everyone to get their preferred amount. Maybe stuff like this is an example of “appreciating the small things”. I can honestly say that no matter how bad a mood I’m in, I can ALWAYS walk down the hall and have a perfectly made cup, even late into the night (the pot gets turned off at 10:00 p.m.) I highly support the idea of a good cup of coffee!
