"Things aren't always so black and white in chess." Love it :)

Man, I found the move. I guess I’m a true master of spotting brilliant moves in rapid games.

The fact that wesley can take little time per move even waaay out of theory just goes to show how much of an instinct player he is
He probably does still memorize moves but i think theres a pretty good reason he rolled everyone in world fischer random championships

Fabiano Caruana: *Finds a brilliancy in a rapid game*
Wesley So: "That's cute."

"And it was in this position that Caruana resigned the game, but not actually resigned, he just lost on time!"

I watched the original video, wow, that's very intense. Maurice Ashley comments the game like a basketball commentator.

Wesley thought it was over yesterday and Fabi had won. Maurice had to tell him it wasn't over and he still had a chance to win.

I love your videos. However, I think putting a pictures of the player before watching the video spoils a bit the video especially when it's super close because you know who will win.

At some convenient time, Antonio, could you tell us a little more about the database of games you use? I am often surprised when we are looking at a quite logical game, with moves you would expect to be made, that we end up reaching "completely new game" status at only move 10 or 12. Or even less - sometimes move 7. Or is it the case that these top players are constantly looking for innovations, to break their opponent out of the opening book, and prevent chess just being a contest in memorising moves?

Fabi's clock runs to zero as he reaches for--*HELLO, EVERYONE!"*

And Fabi's beaten Sevian. You can't keep this man down

Wesley So prevented what could have been the greatest comeback of US Open History by Caruana who suffered 2 successive loses with 3-4 rounds to do and down 1.5 points from the leader, to claw himself into title contention by winning the next two and almost winning the last round.

I am favoring Wesley over Fabi in faster time controls but Fabi is not a former challenger to the world championship for nothing. Fabi is Fabi, you gotta respect that. I am just happy Wesley won.
