**** Warning- Maribye is bitten by a Puff Adder. This is one of the most dangerous venomous snakes of Africa. PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT INFORMATION THE GUIDE TRISTAN GIVES REGARDING MARIBYE'S POSSIBILITY FOR SURVIVAL. It all depends on how much venom was actually injected into the Leopard. He was hit in the paw pad which is a very thick skin area on the Cat. He was not bitten on the chest, neck or face area which would have been the worst places to be hit. Maribye may very well survive this dependeing on the amount of venom he received. At this point in time no one can predict the outcome for Thandi's Cub! We hope and pray that Maribye will be OK-right now we just don't know.

Many thanks to Wild Earth, it's partnering Game Parks and to the guideTristan.

Curiosity kills the cat as they say. Cats are way curious. That movement. Wow. Hopefully all goes well. Would be a big blow again especially for thandi. ❣

For folks just seeing this now (Aug2021), like me, Maribye is perfectly fine. Not showing any signs of even ever being bitten.

So sad to see that but thank you for filming it. I don't think the leopard could resist attacking that extremely dangerous snake. Like Tristan said he has to find out on it's own. How unfortunate . Keep up the good work guys

This is a terrible situation, looks like he got struck twice. We'll know soon enough, I hate seeing this. Not good trade off snake for a leopard. Deep necrosis will take its toll most likely, ugh

Will eating the snake poison him? Please keep us up to date. Is the mom still feeding him? He must have been hungry.

Oh no Maribye, the sweetest leopard cub😍💕 poor Thandi she was looking for him and now her silly boy is in trouble i hope there won’t be any serious situation
May God help this precious young prince 🙏❤️ we want him to grow in to adulthood live for a long time and roam in the jungle with his mom and other leopard families i hope somebody from the Wildlife Authority/the game reserve help him to get Anti-venom or some Antibiotics ASAP otherwise since he’s very young he might develop secondary infection pls update us about his condition whenever u have time
Thank u very much for sharing 🙏

I Cant believe he persisted until he killed it. Do wild animals have resistance to the severity of the venom? If necrosis is the result, humans end up losing the limb dont they?
