Can I ask something to all the guys who come here to leave comments such as "Vettel is a bad driver", "Vettel is a disgrace for the sport" and so on....
--> So, do you also consider Senna "a bad driver", "a disgrace for the sport" and so on? You remember what happened at the start of the Japanese Grand Prix (Suzuka 1990)....
--> So, do you also consider Schumacher "a bad driver", "a disgrace for the sport" and so on? You remember what happened during the European Grand Prix (Jerez 1997)....
--> So, do you also consider Mansell "a bad driver", "a disgrace for the sport" and so on? You remember what happened during the Portuguese Grand Prix (Estoril 1989)....
Of course, the list could be longer. Why did I mention these episodes? Just to remind you of the fact that even the greatest drivers had/have had/have their "dark side". Compared to these episodes, Vettel's manoeuvre (the wheel-to-wheel at 50km/h) is a caress. Either way....Did Vettel make a mistake!?!? Unfortunately yes, no doubt about that. Did Vettel overreact!?!? Unfortunately yes, no doubt about that. Did Vettel have to get a penalty!?!? Unfortunately yes, no doubt about that. But, claiming that Vettel is "a bad driver", "a disgrace for the sport" and so on because of this episode (a wheel-to-wheel at 50 km/h) is pathetic, I mean it!!!!

"Think about the children!" - Hamilton

Regardless of Hamilton braking or not, the penalty was for Vettel driving to his side and ramming him in an sportsmanship behavior. He didn't have the right to do that even if he was provoked! End all the BS argument.

Big fan of both drivers but for Vettel to play the innocent card is ridiculous. Anyone who can blame Hamilton for any of this and/or defend Vettel is blinded by pure hatred for Hamilton.

After this side by side comparison, anyone still defending Vettel must be delusional.

So if Vettel is so good why has he got 9 points on his licece for dangerous driving wheras Hamilton has none!!! He needs to calm down and become a more considerate driver, maybe a course would help?

The leader sets the pace that's the rules, Hamilton doesn't brake and Vettel is caught sleeping. Then Vettels behavious is inexcusable, should have instant black flag, what a pig.

Remember when Schumacher got disqualified from the 1997 season for deliberately driving into the side of Villeneuve? This was also deliberate!

Regardless if Hamilton broke or not, Vettel should have been black flagged for his ridiculous driving

Not quite sure what people think Hamilton would have gained by having Vettel crash into him from behind??? Why would you compromise leading the race? I'm sure Lewis had his eyes firmly ahead, watching the safety car and trying to judge when to go flat out. He timed it perfectly on the first restart, and the team had warned him how close he was to passing the safety car before the line. I reckon that's what he'd have been concentrating on. Not trying to cause a collision with the car behind. That's just ridiculous.

Vettel made a mistake, and then made an even bigger one by ramming Hamilton. He should own up to it. Instead, he pretends not to know why he got the 10-second stop and go penalty. Unless he really doesn't remember what happened, which in a case of intense road rage is not unheard of. But I don't think a 4 time world champion would have a fit like that. Would he..?

Hamilton did the same thing on all 3 restarts but Vettel gets stupidly close on the third and crashes into Hamilton. Vettel isn't a bad driver and I respect him hugely but he knows exactly what he's doing here, taking advantage of the fact that Lewis will go slowly round turn 15 and say "Ahh! He slowed down and brake checked me!". He almost got away with it until he showed his true colours by swerving into Hamilton deliberately, that's pretty inexcusable behaviour. Shout at me, scream at me, tell me that Vettel is the best and untouchable but these are the facts.

I am trying to imagine what the blanket opinion would be like if the roles were inversed & had it been Hamilton who intentionally turned into Vettel lol all hell would break loose, even more than now

Hahaha Vettel fans are absurd. Still flogging this dead horse lol. Vettel was completely in the wrong and I don't need to be a Hamilton fan to see it. This LH vs SV fan base war is cancer

Lots of silly comments here. Facts speak for themselves and Vettel judged wrong and even worse he reacted bad and wrong. Hamilton never brakes and he does similar on every sc restart what else do you want to stop silly theories around? It is the risk of driving so close on sc periods. Maybe the layout in Baku didn't helped?
