I'm very excited about their developments of the APU's. They have a good thing going there...

I actually almost bought the Bulldozer then I saw benchmarks on Intel's i5 showing a 10-35% FPS higher than the FX-8150 on games for the extra $30. I'm not a fanboy, I just love seeing my frame rate being as high as possible. AMD's Trinity series is not bad because the CPU+GPU performance is a bang for the buck if you aren't picky about details.

Its sad an FX cpu at 5ghz has the single core performance of a 2.8ghz Intel Celeron. What where you thinking AMD...

I agree with you, Im running the higher-end chips in two of my systems with a 7990 Devil with one. It does great! I get about 100 FPS to 125 FPS in BF3 maxed.

And i hope they will be - and my hope is that they soon crack on - delivering great cutting edge cpu's - without that competition, intel would slag off - and thats no good for future development!

This is why i love AMD great performance for a good price. Mine fx 8120 is great with my Radeon HD 7870. Love it.

Well I keep hearing these processors will excel a lot more when the official release of windows 8 comes out. But like I mentioned before I like this cpu.

Sad that Bulldozer was such a disappointment. They really should have taken the Phenom II series to the next level and name it, I don't know ... Phenom III ?

Btw the Bulldozer series is a fairly good CPU for gaming, I have the 8150 8 core overclocked at 4.6ghz on stock heatsink. Have played maX payne 3, starcraft 2, crysis 1, metro2033 on ultra settings for all those games with great results. Even minecraft works very well. It might be slower than a 2600k slightly with some single threaded apps but in multithreading, bulldozer does start to kick some ass especially hooked up with the asus crosshair V!

8320 OCed, 8350, or an i5 4670k. Depends on what you want. The FX processors will work better with heavy workload performance like streaming, but it consumes 50 more watts of power than Haswell. Check out razethew0rld's video on it.

Even if you aren't much of a AMD person, you can still appreciate the beauty of this machine.

I would recommend the 7950, especially if you're going to overclock. Either one is a great choice though.

Thank you i am learning the language for about 2 years now, so its taking steps forward... But i forget to mention; the will be new FX cpu coming to release this fall. its called the FX Vishera. AMD claims that i will increase 25 % performance of its high end fx 8150. The new high ends will be the FX 8350 and 8320; it has stock 4 Ghz and up to 4.2 ghz (8350) and 3, 5 Ghz and up to 4.0 Ghz (8320) . I think it is worth waiting for AMD than buying a overpriced intel cpu.

Actually it is true the FPU (Float processing units) per core of a FX-8150 is obo 128bits p/ core. Most procesoors have about double that. So basically they took the specs of what would be a quad core and increased it to an 8 core. But it still keeps 8 threads even with the win7 update for cinebench. It does actually perform better as a 4 core with the win7 update for cinebench which is why it is an update for benchmarking. Long execution pipes also slow the processor down.
