Fold a piece of paper, and make one half of the shape...then flip it for the other side, so they are identical... (-;

Cornelius, I don’t often leave a comment below a video... but when I am impressed, I certainly do. YOU ARE AN AMAZING TEACHER!!!
Sure, there will always be people out there who may not use or find your methods the best, but that does not take away from the fact that you did a super job on filming an instruction video. In my eyes, the best I’ve ever seen and I’ve watched tons of them on all sorts of subjects.

A good teacher is someone who can put himself in the shoes of the student and can think like a student. A good teacher has a good "rhythm" to his teaching that captivates and keeps the student interested. A good teacher is someone who explains in words, then shows in practice what he has just told you. A good teacher uses a step by step approach, never going too fast or too far ahead. A good teacher will make the craft look like fun and who is modest, not claiming to be perfect or the best himself. That is you! You are a good teacher!
A GREAT TEACHER is someone who makes the student who’s completely new to the craft, hungry for more. Who possesses a pleasant personality, is patient, , kind and understanding, and above all, very encouraging. You are a great teacher!

Combine your great teaching abilities with your friendly face and easy-to-listen-to voice and you have yourself a wonderful instruction video made.
You are simply awesome and I want to watch many more of your videos. Thank you so much for being that missing link between wanting to do a craft and actually doing it. You are the best!

Hey Matt, great video.
You mention not being able to talk through a mask. Have you considered doing a voice over instead of talking in the video so that you dont sacrifice your health for the sake of a youtube video? Just a thought. It works well for me. :)

Can you show us how to do something with EACH bit? I want to learn the limits of each one. Also, I assume there is some functional overlap (as you explained with the burrs). Thank you.

In addition to the mask, you need safety glasses. Lots of wood chips come off with the dust and catches can blow out some chunks. The burrs have been known to shatter and come apart too.

I love your comment about the difference between “Showing you how” & “Teaching you”... That’s quotable!!!

Nice video!!! You know, at 1st I didn't think this was gonna be that great of a video, and ended up actually being really intuitive and well explained especially for people who don't have a lot of experience in this. Very nicely done, and well demonstrated. Subscribed.

just found this video, well done, extremely helpful with the bit about the angle for the first burr. Multiple camera angles are brilliant. thanks a lot for taking the time to do this.

May I ask, where do you get your hawk heads? In my own work I've had hawk heads, lance/knife blades hand forged in iron by a black smith.
