For your sake, don't rub your face with a dry rough rag. Not a good idea. Skin will slough off on its own when it's ready.

I built up very slowly using the .025 % once a week for a while, twice a week for a while and so on until I was using it every day. Then started the .05% the same way. No peeling at all just great results.

Scaling is real. Just yesterday I had an appointment for my hair so I had on makeup for the entire day. Towards the evening, my foundations literally cracked around my chin area 🙈😂 now this doesn’t happen everytime. So I wasn’t even being cautious 😆 but I am committed. 💪❤️

Love Retin A Micro. I’ve used it for like 11 years. Can’t believe how much it makes you peel! I do remember some peeling around the mouth in the beginning but now I can literally slather it on every night.

This is one of the most sensible videos I've seen to date about the reality of using Retin-A; so many women vlog about starting at higher doses and frequency of use and go through agony ; it really is as you said, a commitment along with SPF factor moisturizers and occlusive moisturizers that protect the skin barrier. I believe Dr. Dray, one of my favorite gurus, advises that very gentle friction is the limit for exfoliating inevitable flaking, but I was chuffed that she and other people have built up a tolerance where flaking is in the past and the routine is simple and a lot of cosmetic procedures like fillers etc. are simply not necessary. Wish I had begun it when I was your age, but it's never too late; I began when I was 63 and genetically have been lucky, and also stayed out of the sun; after carefully working up the strength of retin A I can't believe the difference. Kudos!!!! Brilliant video!!!

Wash and moisturizer then wait a few hours (at least 2 hours) then Keep the Retin-A on your nightstand and use I Teini lesson if he saved amount with clean hands right before you go to bed over your moisturizer and skin care put it over your skin and go to sleep do it 1 to 2 times a week if you’re using a mild to medium strength and in about six months you’ll see a huge difference

Thank you for your video . You are sweet girl . I used the same retin - a micro for last 6 moths .When I started it was like using cream from hell . But then I discovered Uriage Cica Cream with copper zinc and I did not have any flakiness or itchiness after few days Thanks to Uriage I was able to use retin-a every night . It cost approximately $15 Cad. I do use Time revolution serum and essence by Misha . I also used Ordinary serums such as Buffet and Niacin-amide. But I stop with retin- a in summer time due to my melasma . I recommend Uriage Cica cream when start with retine as it really helps with redness and peeling . I also recommend Uriage moisturizers for moisturizing at the time when redness is gone . It is really helps with skin. You can find it in Shoppers . I also recommend physical sunscreen and the best one is Anessa by Shiseido that can be found online or in Asian cosmetic stores in big cities . The beauty of Japanese mineral sunscreen is there is no white cast at all . For peeling once a week when skin is calm and flakiness is reduced I would recommend Smart peeling mild papaya peel from Face shop $18 Cad . It is very gentle . I am doing my skin care routine to reduce my melasma . But I noted that is beneficial with pores and wrinkles . I am 41 and tiny wrinkles start to form on my forehead . For now I use light therapy mask . I bought it in Amazon . I use yellow and green light and it is great . It has other lights on it that have amazing anti aging properties . In September I will start to use retin-a again . It really does a great job .

Informative, even for men who consider anti-ageing. One question though ? is this process continuous or is there a goal / final result that will seize application of the product or is this a lifelong commitment?

So far what I heard specialists always recommend to avoid using physical peels while on retin a since it’s a strong chemical peel this phase needs patience i think it’s safer for ppl to do good research and watch some reviews and pictures of others experiences to be more about the retin a early effect on the skin and know what to expect from it before jumping on the wagon and start a very weird journey with this product 😅

It’s probably to strong for your skin, try applying it 1-2 times a week and maybe even dilute it with a moisturizer for couple of weeks! It’s recommended to exfoliate on the days you use retin A it’s to much for your skin!

I am using the 0.05 strength now. I started with the 0.025 strength last spring. I had been using a 1.5% retinol serum for about a year before that. I haven't really had any flaking at all really, and I have noticed definite improvement in firmness, radiance, evenness of skin tone and reduction of fine lines since. Very thankful that I haven't had any serious peeling.

Could you please do a video directed to peeling and flaking from Retin A. I have .1% but mix with moisturizer to dilute. I don’t want to pay for a lower strength, but see if I can use this strength with few side effects. Thanks.

Hi, ¿what concentration of Retin A and how many times a week are you using it?, I only know 0, 025%, 0, 05% and 0, 1% Retin A, you should apply it on all of your face, avoiding lids, nasolabial groove and corners of the lips zones, oils improve the appearence of the skin, but the moisturizer makes the best to the skin with or without tretinoin🙂

I think ordinary retinol 0.2 % with Squalane didn’t do that peeling an it’s so good too
