I purchased an ICE Spring FSX like your back in February of this year.  Have approximately 3, 000 miles on it and have enjoyed everyone of them.  Super comfortable and very responsive.  Like your trailer, and am thinking about investing in one.

Skewers tend to be solid high carbon hardened steel as standard and much heaver than stainless steel. I guess this is why they are so heavy.

you should try the bob trailer it would fit evenly with your bike. like your trailer, i have and older model, had it about 20 years, still running strong. just recently bought a new bob trailer! i like my older cargo burley trailer better than the new model like yours, i think it better and it sit up higher in front!

Hollow skewers? (Cringe) I didn't know you could get those! (Not really followed bike "performance" hardware in the past) Carry Freedom downgrade the weight limit on the CF Y large when a QD skewer is involved, as opposed to a nutted axle. There's a lot of leverage on a trailer hitch cantilevered out from the dropout  surface.

Hi yes well they have come in without any one knowing! its all down to saving money on making and transporting them around the world, OK if you are racing and every little bit of wait matters OK I cant see a problem with them but put a trailer on them they break its is as simple as that !  I wonder if any real thought was made to this when they started to put them on all new Bikes, i dowet it as to the response I have had from CTC and a few Places I have brought it up with no one will be bothered until people get hurt and a few court cases and a few compensation cases get made then the industry and may be the CTC will look into it

Why don't you take this matter to your trading standards this item is clearly not fit for purpes. This. This is a serious accident waiting to happen.Have you thought about getting your MP involved?.Did you purchase it via ICE or is it an off the self item, Trading standards might want it to be tested maybe it already had an imperfection in the metal which could have caused it to break.
