Bruce Brewer (Tenor) sings an incredible rendition of Farnaspe's first aria, originally written for the great Caffarelli in 1734
We already have some modern renditions of this aria by some sopranos like : Simone Kermes, Olga Pasichnyk, Mariella Devia, Jolanta Omilian, Annamaria dell'Oste

broadcast from the show called:
"Porporino"
Aix-en-Provence Festival
22 July 1979

Bruce Brewer -- Porporino / Achille
James Bowman -- Feliciano / Ulysse
(speaking roles):
Daniel Emilfork -- Le prince Sansevero
Bernard Chatelier -- Mozart
Pierre Romans -- L'abbé
Frédéric Verrière -- Vicenzo
Virginie Verrière -- Luisilla

Ralf Weikert -- conductor

Theatrical piece done on the novel "Porporino ou les Mysteres de Naples" by Dominique Fernandez. This piece, with a spoken text in French, deals with two castrati--Porporino and Feliciano--and includes soprano castrato music sung an octave lower by tenor
Bruce Brewer and alto castrato music (like Pallido il sole from Hasse's Artaserse) sung as written by countertenor James Bowman

I prefer the version with Olga Pasichnyk, cause yes Simone Kermes is super fast but she dosent have an enough powerful chest register to show the complete bravura of this aria. With Pasichnyk you can really here the switch or registers which in an "aria di sbalzo" is the most important virtuosic aspect to show!
