I used to give blood all the time; I am O negative. Then in my 30’s their questions became intrusive. I was having a course of electrolysis and they acted as if I was a danger to society. They rejected me because of it and I was embarrassed by it. I’ve never been back and I’m 70 now so I guess they lost a lot of precious O neg blood over those years.

It should be illegal to give negative blood to positives. Negative blood should be saved only for negatives since they are the rare ones most at risk.

The last time I donated my O-neg I had two weeks of major fatigue and lightheadedness. I would give again but the $10 gift card is not worth the effects.

I'm a Spanish Basque and my blood is 0 negative (very common over here), am I in risk to be kidnapped and be suckled to dead? By the way, blood donnors in Spain are not payed, it is done only by solidarity.

I am O negative and my ex husband was O positive. We went to donate, but they only wanted him to return more often than me. At one point they stated that my husbands blood was more in demand and I wouldn’t be needed next time.

I am O- i was told i can donate blood to everyone but can only receive blood from an O- my blood is only 7% in the world. I pray to God im never in a situation where i need a blood transfusion

I get calls to give my o- blood. I don't mind giving blood. I can remember my Dad who was o- getting calls in the 60's to give blood in emergency situations.

I am 0 negative and would gladly give my blood to a patient that i knew in hospital if the hospital does not charge them hundreds of dollars for it. I would not give it to the NYBC b/c of what they did to those chimpanzees in Liberia. And. they get your blood for free then sell it to the hospital who sells it to the patient. i am in US btw where everything is about money.

I am also a negative O rh. I am wondering as to why I have survive in my mothers womb who is a possitive o rh. Is that possible? As they say blood is inherited from your parents. My parents are possitive RH. I am the only NEGATIVE O RH in the family. I am experiencing things beyond human beings capacity to understand.
