HEY EVERYONE: this presentation has a PART TWO that features a demo of the opsol adaptor.

Man, I can't get enough of this guy's no-nonsense, no-peacocking, presenting style. It's such a fresh alternative to all the other "tacticool" shooters on youtube that are more concerned about how cool they look while shooting than with hitting what they're aiming at.

Mr. Harrell, I appreciate the effort you put into this video. Well prepared and presented. First time on your channel but wont be the last.

I love this guy. Just the right combination of self deprecating humor, articulate, well polished, and above all, supremely knowledgable. I learn something every time I listen to you. Thank you for your effort. I was about to go and buy these, and now, armed with knowledge that is more than anecdotal, I will change the plan accordingly.

when i first stumbled upon Paul's channel i almost thought it was satire just because of his laid back demeanor but that was quickly dismissed. This dude is the truth!

There is an adapter for the Mossburg that works "perfectly"
Also I feel that this is a real upgrade for shotguns, like a large capacity magazine for a Glock, vrs a "security Six".

Excellent demo. I use these in my KSG with no complaints at all. I like the quantity of ammo and close quarter convenience or advantage. 00Buck and slug ammo give me plenty of power and 20 plus rounds to do what I need to do. I think close quarter combat is what my KSG and Agila shells are best suited for.

Good to point out the "Short" comings of that round. For the mossburg there is a small rubber adapter that fits in the bottom feed ramp area and makes them shot and feed flawlessly.

One other advantage comes to mind for those wanting to use a single-shot or double-barrel in an extended survival situation. Since they're smaller and lighter, more could be carried.

I have to say for such a small cartridge, I'm actually surprised with their terminal performance! Excellent and thorough field test with realistic conditions. I'm very impressed and glad I subbed!

This video made me think. How many chronographs have been accidentally destroyed by people trying to chrony shotgun patterns?

To stop the malfunctions with the minishells, Amazon sells the Opsol mini clip (adapter) for $15. Easy to insert and easy to remove.

My wife loves her 590 Shockwave with the opsol adapter. Perfect for anyone with small frame. I also installed an SB Tactical arm brace and a vented barrel to tame recoil. Perfect for her and definitely fun to shoot now!! Love the video. You do an excellent job with your vids. Keep up the good work!

As far as I can tell, these were invented specifically for the Mag-7 shotgun. The magazine goes through the grip like a handgun. The short shells fit that smaller space. The magazines also end up taking up less space since they are short front-to-back. Allowing twice the ammunition to be carried by the user. The Mag-7 appears to be a combat weapon system. Some other companies have expressed interest in using the Aguila shells but as far as I'm aware, nobody else has made a specifically designed gun around the Aguila short shells. Now, I don't plan to manufacture, but I plan to build a shotgun bullpup designed around the Aguila short shells as part of my gunsmithing training. But it's just a personal project. My gunsmithing mentor and I have talked about building a few guns around that cartridge. But we will see if they come to fruition.

Wow! As usual, a very comprehensive and enjoyable video, Paul! My recent experience with the Aguila 12 Ga. ammunition has been with a firearm apparently not available to U.S. Citizens, (my apologies) - a Dominion Arms "Raider", which bears a resemblance to a Howdah Pistol... Two barrel, side by side, 12 Gauge. My usual range allows only slugs to be fired from smoothbores, and I found that the Aguila slugs are almost enjoyable to shoot from a pistol! I must purchase MORE of these pleasant-to-shoot little 12 Gauge jewels! Please keep up the good work, Paul!

They work great keltec and my ksg25 will hold 20x20+1 and I had shoulder repair so their are recoil issues. Also 41 rounds means never a reload

Answered my own question fairly easily - Remington has a "low recoil" 12 gauge 00 buck which marketed as a "law enforcement" round. Presumably to control over-penetration. A comparison between that and the Aguila might be interesting. I would guess it would cycle a semi-auto action.

Aguila has an attachment for the receiver of the pump shotties....makes em cycle flawlessly

I really appreciate your scientific, no nonsense approach in this review. Easily my favorite review of any firearm/ammunition I’ve seen.

Love the show paul and every show is interesting and gives me food for thought every day. When I was in high school I used to shoot hollow points into milk jugs filled with water and any material that would allow me to retrieve hollow points and see if they performed as expected. I remember trying a box of Black Talons in .45 and the end product was a perfectly mushroomed hollow point with razor sharp points on the edges ! I remember how “concerned” I was at that age Thinking about the damage that could be delivered by that round. I liked comparing the rounds more than I did shooting them.
