In this episode of VHTV you will see me testing 2 of my new spring piston rifles that I am trying to bed in ready for doing some calibration work, hunting and HFT comp shooting.

The test is just to see how they group and perform prior to being fully run in.

Thanks for watching

This is timeless, 5yrs later, this still applies I have HW97 & HW99S that give me a better experience than my PCP HW100KT.

All the ones that you have mentioned are very very good Tim and all will do the job brilliantly.

Its all down to personal taste. For me i like tuned Weihrauchs. If you want the looks then go for a Air Arms Pro Sport or TX200. If you want a work horse than go for the HW97KT. If you want a super gun then go for a tuned HW97KT or Weihrauch.

Another great video! I notice so many craters around the target. Did these come about from spray due to lesser rifles? Or from aiming at farther distances? Or do you place targets anywhere on the backstop? Just curious.

Yes that's correct mate. I have tested a lot of pellets now with my Spectre and at 10.9 FPE it loves H and N FTT at 5.53 mm.

It will put 5 pellets under a 5p at 55 yards. I've now done it twice within the last 2 weeks (once on camera).

We will be releasing the Spectre review very soon now.

Looking forward to some hunting videos with these springers. Had my dreams on a TX200, maybe a Pro Sport now!
Great video, I would like some more in depth reviews on the different scopes and your opinion.
Thanks

Thanks Malc buddy.

Yes both the TX and PS are very good rifles and as you say its just down to personal preference.

Just had the HW97KT and new VHTV Spectre re tuned yesterday after they are both nicely bedded in now by Tony at SFS and Davy took his HW97KT for a stage 2 tune at the same time and the rifle on video (the Spectre) as just done a 3.3 fps total deviation over the F1 chrono. Amazing work by Tony.

Cracking vid Si I still prefer the TX200 over the Pro Sport but that is just a personal preference thing. This video just shows how well the pro sport shoots. It also looks like Tony's work on your rifles has worked it's magic again =)

Nice bit of kit. Tony wall serviced my tx200 and fitted a new spring, it now matches my pcp at 30 yards. Keep um coming

hi si and davy in some of your vids you take excellent long range shots would you say .22 or .177 would be better at 60 plus yards? great vids lads keep em up.

Si, same question as Tim, i bought my son a hw57 as a starter rifle and seems i have caught the bug. I am weighing up getting a HW97kt or Pro sport. This will be for target and wood pigeon/ rabbit destruction. The 57 is good enough at 25m, but i don't really want to push it further at live targets, would appreciate your feedback sir :)

Hi Si. When comparing the bore and relative mass of 22 and 177 pellets, logic dictates that the 177 should require less air to propel it to any give Flb compared to a 22 pellet. Why do you then get less shots in a PCP rifle with 177 than you do with 22?

I have a full cabinet of hunting rifles, spring and pcp, one of which is the Walnut AA Pro Sport .177, untouched. I use the JSB Exact Express 4.52, 7.87g pellet and have taken a hillside of vermin with this rifle.Very hard to miss out to 50 yards with this combination. "Absolutely recommended".
