Congrats on the new studio, guys. I really like your approach on founding the new studio in such a fresh way, giving your creative team the empowerment & excitement to come into the studio each day and not being afraid to try new things & approach things in different ways. Personally, coming from a creative industry myself, that’s really refreshing, feeling like things are a little more personal, where people are putting their hearts & souls into what they make, not just stamping things out like a factory production line, where creativity can feel controlled & stifled. Profs to you all for founding the studio like this, i wish more studios took this kind of approach. It’ll really make your studio hugely creative, it’ll make for an incredible place to work and produce some truly pioneering projects. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with! There is something about young smaller studios that they can have a lot more freedom into making what they want and go crazy. And that initial pasion after many years starts to wear off. Playground started in the same manner i would imagine but look at it now 10+ years. Bigger studio, bigger games, bigger problems. Under the wing of microsoft and id imagine that taking an even bigger toll on everything including creativity and innovation. It starts from 0 then it grows and grows and at some point starts to decay untill theres not much left. The circle of life. You being in the position that you are is wonderful and in this current timeline is probably your best chance at making something amazing out of it while you still can. Good luck!
